Mint Hoover Portable found in N. Canton

I didn't realize these dated all the way back to the early 60s. This is a very nice one Jimmy, and such a great color!

    A JCPenney Floor A Matic

I could be completely wrong, but I think the only lighted Floor a Matic was in the brown color (kind of like a 1060) maybe not quite that dark. Fred is the only person I know of that has one in his collection, though I think they're very cool. I have a kind of burnt orange one from 1984 I...

    Hoover 1967

Wow, what wonderful pictures. I thought and still think those frypans are just the coolest thing ever. Neighbors of ours had a model 36. You don't see a whole lot of those it seems, but I liked the color. I never knew they had those manual push type carpet sweepers. I love the dishwasher in the...

OK! Here It Is-The Fabulous Eureka Empress!

Wonderful cleaners, and don't you just love the pictures and instructions inside the one tool caddy? My friend Michael in Arizona has a handsome one of these as well.

    Model 903 Electro-Hygeine

Thank you Jeff! On a side note, vacuums and sewing machines often seem to be close relatives, at least from a sales standpoint. Did you know of the product in this link...

    Penncrest Polisher

I want to say that's probably from around the mid 60s. We had a Hoover-badged orange one like it, the orange was slightly different than this one, and I have a pink one in my collection that is out of state with a friend at this time.

    Model 903 Electro-Hygeine

Hygiene903, you mentioned that you worked for Electro-Hygiene in 1976. I didn't realize they were still around even then. Do you know how long they ultimately were around?

    Model 903 Electro-Hygeine

Roger, is that one before my 880, even though it has a higher number? The bag design makes me think it is. I just polished the 880 the other day, and it looks great! :) Charles, in the 1940 photo your uncle is a dead ringer for you!

    Model 903 Electro-Hygeine

Very nice cleaner! I love my model 880 Royal which I'm sure is quite similar in operation and power to this one. I use it all the time! When were Electro Hygiene cleaners last made?

    Eureka for my Birthday

Great cleaner Jeff! What a wonderful surprise and gift. That would have been one of the last to have that cool-looking bag too.

    Model 28 Hoover

It's always wonderful to hear these stories where things like this are still in regular, well-loved use, and how nice you were able to help her out and make it all fresh for even more great years of service. John, you'll have to go visit Roger one of these days and use his 28!
