Very Nice Find: Electrolux Epic 6500 (charcoal gray)

Nice find Bob! It looks in great condition, and plus you have all the tools too. I want to find a machine like this. Do you usually look in the paper or on Kijiji? I peruse on Kijiji every day and there is very slim pickings here in Nova Scotia. You Newfies sure love your Electrolux's, and...

I saw that exact video on YouTube when you posted it and all I could think of was "What a UNIQUE ans SWEET LOOKING MACHINE!" This is such a unusually neat design, you don't see much like it now. Sweet machine! Congratulations on a great (possibly really rare) find!

    A nice Lux 1205

Superb looking machine for a superb price! I need to find a 1205 someday, when I move onto collecting the US machines. PS, I thank Electrolux engineers every time for the bag door switch! "It doesn't work, so I'll sell it for cheap" etc... heh heh heh.

    Electrolux 1453

For my AP, SAP, and Eureka 1740 I just coil it in a circle and use a velcro cable tie. Works great, I usually attach the tie to the handle or something so its not flowing everywhere. I don't like to leave the cord wrapped around anything with sharp-ish corners/abrupt turns for too long, I don't...

    Electrolux 1453

I always liked seeing the differences between the BOL and TOL machines. This body on this machine looks way different than the body on the top of the line Olympia. Did they make two different bodys for them? Sweet vac by the way Bob, I have that same hose but with an AP fitting at the end of...

    Any one here remember........

Yes! I remember these. My grandmother used to have one in the kitchen. And I used to use it to suck up crums and dirt. I have been looking for one similar to it, the only one I have came close to finding is this on eBay. However, I think $100 + shipping is steep...

Best way to measure suction and power?

What are some devices one could use to measure the suction and power of a vacuum? I know aeoliandave has a fancy device called 'Vac-U-Tronic tester', where would you find one or something similar to this? I do have a Kill-A-Watt device, but I don't think that's a good way to measure suction...

    Whats your opinion on Eurekas?

Eurekas are my second favorite brand. Electrolux being first, of course. I don't know what it is about Eureka, but I do like their canisters, and that PN, love it. I think it's one of the best personally. I want to get another Eureka Power Team canister, but I can't find any on eBay or in thrift...

    Calling all Electrolux experts!

It's a matter of preference really. I have both genuine and non-genuine hoses for both stypes of hoses (American and Canadian style ends). I much prefer the genuine version. eBay sometimes has good deals on for genuine Lux hoses that are non-woven. That's where I got mine, it was on sale for a...

    Recent Electrolux Finds

Holy! That's my childhood vacuum! We used to have one like this, but with no Sidekick. This is exactly like the one I used to have! I must find one like this. Excellent find! PS I do like newer Luxes just as much as I like the old ones.
