Make sure the suds control valve is open all the way and that you mix the solution properly. If everything checks out, the Kirby definitely SHOULD make suds.

I'll be there! That's for darn sure! I'm gonna win that cleaning contest next year with my trusty old Sanitaire. I'll also bring some machines that I didn't bring last year. My Panasonic Jet-Flo, a few old HOOVERS, a Eureka or two, and of course some Kirbys!

I once had the idea to buy every part for a certain Sanitaire and completely assemble it myself. The only problem would be finding screws.

I do not want to offend anybody by saying this... But I'm glad that there at least a few straight couples that collect vacuums.

Overkill??? I think the 3.5 amp motor would be good for low pile carpet that does not need deep cleaning. But it's worse than useless on all my shag and deep plush carpeting! I still have a 3.5 amp motor in the blue hood and green base Eurekas in picture No.3, and they don't even phase the shag...
