    562 Sanitronic, Sanitronic VII, D50...

“Customizing Kirby” Hey! I’d love to see some pics of the Classic with the D80 cord! That greenish tone with the brown I think would look really cool! Reminds me when I was growing up and we had a kitchen with brown counters with the gold veining and avocado green appliances. I once put the...

    Just some thoughts.

Facebook Absolutely has killed traditional Internet forums. I myself am a co-moderator on a Kirby group, and as other have mentioned, I too have a personal life and do not always have time to reply to everything posted. There’s members from all over the globe and I just do not have the time to...

    562 Sanitronic, Sanitronic VII, D50...

Les I have a friend who I gifted a Heritage II. It has both large and small nozzles, extra cloth bag with emtor, extra handle fork, all attachments and shampooer. She is downsizing and wants to get rid of it. If you are interested, I can prolly get her to just give it to you for cost of...

    Just some thoughts.

All very good points Being busy (I am too), new machines not being interesting, only topics about specific trim pieces, etc. But there was more going on a couple years ago. I have seen a lot of us and them, albeit very subtle, but I know who the people are and their little Hatfield vs McCoy...

    Just some thoughts.

Just have a question. Do any members and or visitors of this site ever get the impression that lately, things in here have been a bit lacking in the discussion area? It comes off to me that there’s a specific group of people who converse and engage in discussion, and anytime someone outside...

    562 Sanitronic, Sanitronic VII, D50...

Hello! A while back I posted some photos of my 562 Sanitronic and D50 - both sporting the white cords. Ben pointed out that I should have a Sanitronic VII in between them, and well, I agreed. Finding the machine with the correct bag was difficult, but finding a third white cord was even more...

    Roto-Matic

Les: lol. White penny loafers... and I know you aren’t being rude at all. Thank you for the compliments! I have a red roto-matic too... it’s a fun machine!

    Classic 1CR

Thanks! Supercod: Thanks! Similar thing happened to me at a thrift store with a Hoover Celebrity. They had the canister but nothing else. Oh well, lol. One of these days. It was a shame too because the canister didn’t have a scratch on it. Les. Yes, Henry Company bag. It was NOS and was only...

    Classic 1CR

Got this Classic the other day. It’s a beautiful machine. The only problem was the bag. The patch was in great shape so I removed it and sewed it onto this new bag. Not a Kirby bag, but I think it looks good.

    515

Bill, No bleaching, just a good wash to make sure it was nice and clean. Throw it right in the dye mixture and I let it set for about 20 minutes. Ring it all out and dry it.

    515

Dye color Hey! Sure thing! I just used Rit liquid dye. Cherry red- the entire bottle. I used a sirocco (spelling?) tan bag and voila! I’m glad you like it! It came out better than I was thinking it would and may actually do the same for another machine!

    515

Hahah Les: I used some rit dye. It came out pretty good I think. Gary: yes! It sure was in Jacksonville. Really nice lady sold it. She used it to vacuum her perfectly white carpet that was in her garage, lol. She had a G4 for inside the house. Jimmy: I’ve never seen that commercial, but now...

    515

We nabbed this 515. Came with all the original attachments and everything in flawless condition. All it needed - and still needs is the correct bag. Figured why not have some fun with the tan open top bag that was laying around.

    False eBay listing

Kelton Thank you for taking the time to report the false listing. I know we won’t ever fully eliminate fraud, but if we see it and act together, we certainly can at the least have it removed much faster. And even though there are buyer protections in place, it’s still a bummer and a hassle...

Has anyone ever used Sugru to replicate hard-to-find trim pieces?

Henry Company That’s where I bought the part I posted the pictures of. They are really great people and are very reasonable. If you still have interest in the part I posted, let me know. Good luck!

    False eBay listing

I found out only because Ben Edge was kind enough to bring it to my attention. If he hadn’t said anything to me, I’d likely have never known.

    False eBay listing

Lol. It’s from China. I did ask the “seller” a question... I asked where he found such a beautiful machine and a few other things that only I would know. No reply of course. Oh well. At least it didn’t happen during the auction, only after it was all said and done.

Has anyone ever used Sugru to replicate hard-to-find trim pieces?

Email I didn’t see an email on his profile. Well, looks like he’s got 2 to choose from! I am going to experiment with that Sugru. Gonna get some clay and see if I can make a mold and see what (if anything) happens. I’ll let you know. Chris

Les I like the thread. It’s very helpful. Honestly, there was a post you made months ago showing a listing in or around Atlanta, and the seller had a machine with the famous 562 Sanitronic white cord. I was able to speak with him and purchase just the cord. Your posts are very helpful, and I...
