    Pink has Arrived!

Brush Roll Design Is the brush designed to help direct debris to the vacuum inlet tube? I guess I would describe it as kind of a "helix." Thanks! Bill

    Kirby Zip brush question

Excellent Tool Your Zip Brush is a great tool. Better than any air driven tool I've seen. You're right too. It operates with so much power that you could injure yourself! Watch your fingers!

    Micro Lined Bags

Brett In this case, a Hoover WindTunnel Upright. I bought it new and it only came with one bag! Doesn't take long to fill the thing with three dogs in and out of the house! I have Electrolux and Kirby vacs too and have only used OEM bags with them. Thanks! Bill

    Micro Lined Bags

I need to replace the bags on one of my vacuums and would like to know opinions regarding Micro Lined and other aftermarket bags. How do they compare in quality to OEM bags? Thanks! Bill P. S. Merry Christmas to all!

So it wasn't a figment of my imagination! Thanks everyone!

    Hair Dryer Bonnet

I remember as a kid that my Mom had a hair dryer bonnet that she would attach to the exhaust on her vacuum. I don't know what kind of vacuum it was. Probably a Hoover. But I'm curious to know if that was an after market item that she would have bought or an option some vac manufacturers actually...

A Garage Full of Vacs, Part 2

Not Betty but Grazellda Oops! I was talking about Grazellda in the previous post! What a looker!

A Garage Full of Vacs, Part 2

You gotta love Ugly Betty! She reminds me of the ugly puppy I kept from a litter because I couldn't give him away. He grew up to be a really cute dog and is the best pooch I've ever had! I'll bet Betty is that way too! She really is cute -- kind of quirky -- in the "60s Vibe" sort of way. LOL...

    Electrolux Model L Attachments

Sandy, I emailed photos of those attachments to you. Let me know if you need them or if you have any questions. I'm not certain that they're all Electrolux AND some are very dirty. Bill

    Hoover vs. Kirby

Suction vs. Air Flow Richard, You're absolutely right about Kirby's air flow. I know a vacuum must have good suction and good air flow in order to work properly. And I know that some vacuums can have strong suction and poor air flow. I don't know enough about vacuums to understand how that can...

    Electrolux Model L Attachments

BTW I'll be glad to let you have them at no cost -- just pay shipping! Thanks! Bill

    Electrolux Model L Attachments

Sandy, I'll dig through my pile and snap a photo to email. I'm thinking some of what I have may actually go to a Model E. Would the E have used the flip over floor tool? Again, they're not in great shape, but you may have the skills to bring them to life. I have a lot of stuff (mostly...

    Hoover vs. Kirby

Ok. I've been sucked in! I'm amazed by the passion for vacuums of those who post to this forum. So you all have inspired me to do a little test. Before I found you all, I would never have done this! But I wanted to see how a Hoover Self Propelled Bagged Upright WindTunnel would stack up against...

    Electrolux Model L Attachments

I have a bunch of Electrolux attachments, though I'm not sure what they go to. Plus, they're not in good shape. I have an aqua combination floor brush and a crevice tool (aqua). I can email a picture if you'd like. Bill

    Elux Power Nozzle Question

BTW Sandy, I read your profile and I too owned a Model L years ago. It was given to me by the same Grandmother from whom I inherited the Model XXX. She bought it at a garage sale for $5 and gave it to me right after I finished Graduate School back in 1991. I had no money and no vacuum. It was...

    Elux Power Nozzle Question

Hot Glue! Sandy, That makes a lot of sense! Not being a very "crafty" person, I've never owned a Hot Glue Gun. Though, I once had a girlfriend who could build a car with hers. She was kind of weird because she'd carry that thing in her purse! LOL! Seriously! But I don't plan to call and ask to...

    Elux Power Nozzle Question

I was servicing a PN 1 power nozzle the other day and found that the screw holes holding the plastic cover onto the metal mounting plate have been stripped out. The screws don't really tighten down and the cover buzzes when the power nozzle is in use. Does anyone have a solution to the problem...

A question for the Electrolux users.

Model AE Filter I use the "cut to fit" furnace filter that comes with the plastic frame. I also cut the plastic frame to size in order to add a little stability to the filter. I haven't used in an AE (don't have one!) but I do use it in a Model XXX.
