    Oreck Upright

Just wondering.... I have an Oreck 2600 I bought several years ago. I love it. It works great on area rugs and bare floors, but I was wondering if any of the moving parts ever need to be lubricated? It has been used every day for about the past three years. It still runs just fine, but I want...

    Electrolux super j

Dusting Brush I have the original dusting brush for my Super J. It is so worn down on the front, it makes it difficult to use. Can you buy replacement bristles, or should I just try to find a new brush? Also, I just ordered a new vinyl hose for it from TotalVac.com. It was supposed to be beige...

    Electrolux XXXs --- They're Everywhere! They're Everywhere!!

I sure wish someone would post a good demonstration of a XXX in the "See It Clean" section. I have never heard one of these run before. I'm sure there are others out there that would enjoy this also. Tim

Does anyone have any video of a Lux XXX that they could add to the "See It Clean?" Tim

    Oreck Canister

hmmmmmmmm I have an Oreck Buster B, and I don't think you will be happy with its performance. The motor is so small and wimpy. It may lift a 16 lb. bowling ball, but it has lots of trouble "lifting" dirt and grit. Putting a power nozzle on it seems a little bit far fetched, but that's just me. Tim

    Electrolux Quietness

XXX charles-richard, I just looked at your web-site for Electrolux. Man, that is one cool site. I love the old XXXs. Where do you find them in such good shape? The padded filter at the end of the machine must have accounted for it's quietness. I have always wondered how those sled runners did...

    Electrolux Quietness

1205 I have heard that the 1205 had the same motor as the G. Is that correct? If so, was the 1205 as quiet as the G, or was it the sound-proofing material used in the G that made it so quiet? Will the motor from a 1205 fit in a Super J? Also, I need to replace the cord on my Lux Super J. The...

    Wow! what a great ad....

The movie I sure wish I could find the name of this old movie. I remember watching it about 20 years ago on AMC. I just can't remember the name of it or who played in it. Please someone tell me I'm not going crazy. Am I the only one who has seen this? I have searched for it using Google and...

    Electrolux Quietness

Many people have told me over the years that the old Lux cleaners are among the quietest. (I feel a little out of the loop since I have never used a XXX or any of the other oldies. The oldest one I have used is a Golden J.I actually think I saw a LXI run once in a store where I worked, but the...

    Wow! what a great ad....

Does anyone remember?????? I watched a movie once on AMC about a very wealthy family that owned a vacuum cleaner company. The vacuum had the family's last name. Someone kidnaps the child and wants a huge payoff. I saw this a long time ago, but can't remember the name of it. The vacuum used in...

Helping a friend-- (Not a fan of new vac)

Miele Upright I have a 172i upright and I really like it. It cleans carpet pretty well. Bare floors are cleaned fairly well. It has a variable speed motor. It sounds about like a 1980's Panasonic. It is lightweight and all plastic. It's a good novelty vacuum, but I wouldn't rush out and buy one...
