    Royal Power Cast 9200 Trade/Sale

Very functional "as is" Royal 9200, with toy bag. Has worn corners on nozzle bumper, top cord hook needs some love, some distortion on the connecting hose. Will trade for a Kirby Heritage II or Legend. Fear not, Dustin, she loves you Heritage enough to take it with her to her grave.

Electrolux B8 vs GE chrome floor polisher

I'll stick to the Advance 18", works great for screen-sanding floors as well as polishing.

    Dating a Hoover Convertible...

When I first saw the heading I wondered if it violated the Mann Act--

    Old "Stink Bombs"

I can carry on a normal conversation with little difficulty while using it, which I consider remarkable compared to newer machines

    Old "Stink Bombs"

We use a Kent "Quiet Jumbo", which is as properly descriptive a name as any: It can almost silently suck a golf ball through a garden hose, and weighs around 70-80 Lbs.

Handle grip for Kirby C or R

I'm hoping to find a replacement for the round black hand grip for the top of an early Kirby, black rubber or bakelite on an aluminum casting.

    kirbys old & new

Thanks for the info! I hang on to things that seem unique, especially well built vintage tools & equipment. Never knew much about the history of these until recently

    kirbys old & new

Thanks for the pic of the underbelly! The cord on mine plugs directly into a male plug mounted directly on the bottom of the motor. There is a provision for the safety switch on the blower housing, but no provision on the motor for the conduit or junction- no screw holes, etc. The name plate...

    kirbys old & new

Significant other used my "C", decided to get one of her own, hence the Heritage. Age difference: about 50 years

    Removing a fan blade

Unscrews in the direction the fan turns. Since that fan is toast anyway, pin it down any way you can & tap the wrench handle for the "Impact" wrench effect

    Kirby Vacuums for sale

Still got them? Contact me by email, I'm in Mason & would be interested in one Steve Hopkins (Anachronism)

    Poor thing...

At least someone liked it enough to keep it going, rather than send it to a landfill when the paint flaked.

    Kent "Quiet Jumbo"

I wonder if anyone else has used one of these? It was left in building I restored 20 years ago. Incredibly over-built, could suck a golf ball through a garden hose, VERY quiet & weighs an ounce or two less than a Grey Hound bus.

    Kirby "C" in working clothes

I found this forum while looking up info on the Kirby C I found in the trash in 1972. While not in mint shape cosmetically, it has performed admirably for for me over the past 42 years. Like many other such finds, what I got as junk decades ago is now considered collectible. Anyone got an...
