Advice replacing or repairing a nearly indestructible Sebo

I would keep your machine and just spend the $85 for a new hose. A tune up is a good option too. It’s a lot cheaper than a whole new machine. Though if you were to get a new machine keep the Sebo you have now because things are built really poorly lately even more so in the past few months...

    Robotic vacuums? Anyone?

I’ve had some experience with robot vacuums specifically iRobot Roomba’s. My first was an iRobot Roomba 440 and it was decent and basic because at the time it had a fair amount of technology and features. The next was an iRobot Roomba 530. That was a really great machine it just bounced off of...

    Hart Vacuums?

I’ve seen a lot of ads on YouTube for hart cordless vacs. This is the first time I’m seeing a full sized corded upright model. Just another brand engineered product, different colors and new logo but it doesn’t even pretend to stray from the Hoover design. Kind of like the new Hoover one power...

Kirby Company sold to Right Lane Industries

Kirby distributors themselves don’t tend to repair and service Kirbys. You would go to local vacuum shops such as the one I work at to have it serviced and repaired. The only thing that may happen if they close is parts availability would become scarce.

I really like the new Dyson's

Sebo’s will definitely outlast Dyson’s but Sebo’s are not that interesting like Dysons can be. Grant it Dysons are nightmares to work on but if you have grown up with sebos in your family for 30 years, you’re probably bored of them and I understand that. My parents have had a Simplicity Synergy...

    Simplicity Craigslist Purchase: NO SUCTION!

I love the R25’s. I do see the top bag door area as being a major clog zone for most customers and the lower cord hook looks like it’ll be easily broken off. Other than that the R25P is one of my favorites to use around the store. It’s very light in the hand and maneuverable. I also like the...

    Kenmore Intuition bagged

I can already see that internal hose in the cleaning head splitting. I see this all the time with Shark vacuums and of course they don't sell parts for them! I'm so excited to see that Kenmore is following suit and not providing replacement parts for their machines. They've already gone down...

    HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is so common on the generation Kirbys. I can barely keep the pedals in stock at my store because I would say every 8/10 kirbys that come in for service need the pedals replaced. You have to drop the transmission out and remove the broken piece inside then fit the cam bracket and a new set...

any great vacuum canister cleaner that equals tristar compact

Miele’s are really good the compact c2 is a really good one because it’s super small and nimble but still has the same Miele vortex motor they use in the rest of their lineup. The electro+ model comes in marine blue and hosts the SEB228 electro plus head which is a really nice full size full...

    New Sebo Vacuum Cleaner

I actually prefer the older Dyson’s. I’ve had several including a Ball Multifloor 2. I sold it because I work at a vacuum store and I see so many Dyson’s in constantly jammed up and poorly performing. I get sick of working on these machines and people being brainwashed into thinking they’re the...

The Miele S7 has landed in Canada!

I think I tend to agree that Miele will not be releasing another upright machine. They typically would’ve already released it and would slowly phase out the Dynamic U1 as they are doing now. Instead they have not released a new model and are just phasing the Dynamic U1 out. I agree that they...

    Latest FrankenKirby Spotted!

I see/create frankenkirbys all the time. At my store, customers usually don’t care about things matching on their kirbys so we use what parts are available. Sometimes they end up looking pretty wonky. Today I was working on a g4 with a ultimate g cord, a g6 bag, and an Avalir em tor.

What was the strangest thing you found stuck in a modern vacuum

I found a hair curler in a Miele S7 Twist once. I’ve also found a clothes pin in a Riccar Vibrance right behind the little door you open to add an extension hose. I’ve found many things in many other vacuums like an entire bag of screws in a Kirby G6. A bunch of screws and confetti were on there...
