    Hoover Complimentary Colors

Just giving you a hard time Keith. I know you are so particular about your vacs so when you displayed the Celebrity not totally in 'correct' form, I just had to rib you a little :-) Gary

    Hoover Complimentary Colors

Very nice Keith but I'm disappointed. Your Celebrity is missing the curved upper wand. The hose should not be going into a straight wand :-) Gary

TV show Bewitched - door to door salesman

Just watching episode 26, season 8 of Bewitched and there is a door to door salesman (at 8:40 in the video) trying to sell Samantha the Mindmaster canister vacuum. It looks like a re-badged Regina canister similiar to the one that a friend of my mom's had. There were 3 versions of this model...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19)

It is disgusting that there are a few 'entrepreneurs' (and I use the term loosely) that are buying up all the toilet paper, paper towels, sanitizer, etc. and then selling it on amazon, etc. at several times the original price. They are trying to make money off this situation. I bet they aren't...

    Coronavirus (COVID-19)

I don't understand why people are hoarding at all. The virus is respiratory and not in the stomach so no one is going to get the shits and need rolls of toilet paper. People are crazy and a lot of it is brought on by the government and news media. Gary

Any Vintage vacuums passed down through the generations?

The first vacuum I owned was a Belltower (pic credit goes to Doug Smith). It had all the attachments as in the pic but also included the dusting brush, crevice tool and paint sprayer. My mother actually owned the vacuum when she first got married. She then bought a Filter Queen and gave the...

Vintage or Modern Dishwasher? Which do you prefer?

The first thing I did on the day the sale of my house closed in 1991 was to have a dishwasher installed - a Maytag reverse rack. The dishwasher was noisy but it cleaned every dish, pot, pan, casserole dish that I put in it and it did it in less than 1.5 hours on the longest pots & pan cycle...

    history Dormeyer mixers?

My mom had the grey and white Dormeyer stand mixer. It was the only Dormeyer that I have ever seen. When I was a teenager, my sister and I bought her a Sunbeam stand mixer in yellow. I don't know what happened to the Dormeyer. Gary

    Electrolux/Aerus CentraLux Central Vacuum Inlets

I'm not really sure...I'm not familiar with how the hose connects to the handle.

    Electrolux/Aerus CentraLux Central Vacuum Inlets

When I moved into my first home in 1988, there was a Beam central vac but I wanted to use my Electrolux tools, wand and power nozzle so I purchased the central vac hose from the Electrolux dealer. It was the vinyl type with the pistol grip handle. Gary

    The Eureka Model E1860

Keith, I just checked and it is a style S bag made by Rubber Maid that is in the machine. Gary

    The Eureka Model E1860

No it did not come with the original box. The one thing I have noticed is that it does leak dust right where the hose meets the dust bag collar. I am using an original bag. Gary

    The Eureka Model E1860

Keith, I bought the Empress II on Ebay. The seller told me that it was kept in their family's vacation home and rarely ever used. Unfortunately the original cloth hose leaked like a sieve so I did replace it. Gary
