    Sears or Montgomery Ward

Brings back memories, Monkey Wards...just what I remember it being called. My parents rarely ever bought anything new. They always bought someone else's junk...second hand shoppers. However we did have a Montgomery Ward washing machine and Stove. Gas of course for the stove. That washer...

Hans I would agree, a vacuum from Charlie's collection would be an awesome machine for any collection.

My 1984 Toro 21" Rear Bagger

Still can't beat a good 2 cycle Lawn Boy. One of the most reliable mowers out there. I now have a Honda (top of the line) plastic deck, hydrostatic drive and electric start. It mows like a dream and is probably the best mulching mower on the market. Would love to find a Jacobsen 2 cycle with...

manual or automatic height adjustment for uprights and power nozzles

I prefer manual myself. Most that are self adjusting do just what you said...they float across the top of the carpet because there is no weight to the power-head. I personally like the Kirby system the best, it allows for all types of carpets. The best setting is not having it set all the way...

Different attachments for different kinds of Tacony models

Moderneezer, I would have to agree, so many companies now use different tools for different machines. Why not make them all standard for that company? I would think the cost savings alone would be enough to make the change. I don't want to be bothered with adapters and such...just something...

    Vacuum of the day...

I would love to see an Apex. Our neighbors had a vacuum badged as Speed Vac that I think was an Apex style canister...

    Best Vacuums For Palm Springs

All the vacuums would be great choices. The Airway is a great vacuum and I love the Airway tools. I would agree with the Rainbow, I don't like the mess of cleaning it up after each use and you can't poor dirty sandy water down a drain. I friend of mine use to keep a bucket with a strainer in...

    Do you make your Bed?

With out fail! Everyday! There have been a couple of occasions where I forgot, not sure why, but made the bed when I found that night before going to sleep. I make sure the sheets are washed at least weekly and the mattress is vacuumed at least monthly. I have friends who never make the bed...

    Electrolux CB Find!

Those are awesome vacuums and work well in a commercial setting. They were especially good in churches. Upright don't work well at all in most church settings. The pews are generally to close together and the long hose and power-mate worked very well. I used that exact model for years at a...

    The Great HEPA Debate

Charles, I couldn't agree more. The bag less sickness that has hit the vacuum world is just a visual easy sell and those vacuums do not clean any better than a vacuum with a bag. And like you said....try to empty one and keep the dirt contained...it won't happen. Not to mention the cost of...

    "Sleigh Ride" -- Cameron Carpenter

Cameron is an amazing organist. Another video worth watching is his Star and Stripes...I think it may have been performed at Boston First Church.

    Found another unusual beast

Those were awesome machines. I used one for years at a local grocery store my mom worked at. I would go early to help close the store..I would do the vacuuming...the whole store was carpet...built in the 70's
