Let's see your favorite Electrolux cleaners

One of my very favorite Electrolux cleaners is my Canadian model ZB 30. I have a number of Canadian models in my collection, they are all smooth running and quiet.

I kind of don't like retractable hose systems.

10 years ago when I moved into my house, my friend Evan installed my central vacuum. It is a silent master, the largest model they make. The name is a misnomer because it is anything but silent. It has tremendous power along with multiple motors. I like the HEPA disposable bag. I have had the...

Circle the Wagons. I have already sold 3/4 of the collection, but these are some of my pride and joy machines. Can't wait to retire, planning to visit Dollywood and Nashville this year.

Premier Spic and Span Hand vac

I have a perfect one that's been sitting on my workbench in the original box with the original parts and the original cord in perfect condition for a long time. I'm getting ready to retire and don't know what to do with all this stuff. It was headed for the dump. Maybe you can use it.

Let's see your favorite Electrolux cleaners

Many people think the Super J and the Golden Jubilee models are basically the same, but they are not. The Super J is longer and has a much more powerful motor. Also, the model number of the Golden Jubilee model is 1205 just like the last of the blue 1205 models. Really with the exception of...

*FREE Electrolux Model 1205 Parts Vacuum w/ hose

I think it's awesome you are offering the Electrolux. The motor will not turn on without a disposable bag inside. You can open the front door, plug it in, turn the switch on so the light is illuminated, then push the grey button on the inside of the bag door to test that the motor starts.

The model LX (60) is also one of my favorites as it is the first Automatic (1952).

    Hoover decade 80 repair

You have to lubricate the lever before it can slide up and down correctly. This is common on old machines where dust makes the lever stick. Lubricate it at the point where the adjustor slide meets the lever.

Let's see your favorite Electrolux cleaners

I thought it would be fun for us to share a photo of our favorite Electrolux cleaners from our collection. I am partial to the model G, the bronze colored version from 1966 through 1968. Here is my model G automatic that was rescued from an upper closet at an estate sale. Only one disposable bag...

    GE Dishwasher bit the dust

I recently had to replace my 33 year old KitchenAid with a brand new Sharp dishwasher (stainless inside and out). I love how the new machines sit in their own 'pan' so if they drip it doesn't leak onto the floor. I also love the front connection for the water line. So easy to get to. I...

Can I replace the motor on my Electrolux L (1979)?

I'd be more than happy to rebuild that motor for you. Here's how to take it out: take off the screw holding the cord retainer, just forward of the switch. Next, remove the screw (one is right there under that cord retainer) and the one screw underneath the machine. Holding one of the rear...

For Sale: Kirby white & tan cord

I have three of those cords. They went with the model 562 Kirby. I know they are going for a fortune, but I wanted to see exactly how much before I offered mine for sale. Been collecting for 43 years, so I have tons of old stuff.

Can I replace the motor on my Electrolux L (1979)?

Yes, the motor can be removed, rebuilt, and replaced without too much trouble. I completely rebuild the motors on my own Electrolux cleaners in my collection, as well as rebuild motors for a living.

    Rainbow vs Sebo/Miele

dylanmc Price and Quality do not go hand in hand. Canister vacuums should make the chore of using the above-the-floor attachments very easy. The ones that do not just get cursed every time I have to use the dusting brush. Twenty years ago, I sold Sebo. Among other brands. I never was "sold"...
