    Hoover convertible u4123

I know, and it's not only Atlantic city. It's the oldest sections of Baltimore also, Detroit, even Homewood in Pittsburgh, etc. Chicago has problems and is larger than all those, but has made more overall progress with urban renewal since the 90's. Many blame a certain demographic group. A...

My Arrival; Is The Bagged Power Nozzle Canister Market Dying?

Ok, but, regardless of the length of the hose on any upright, stairs are an issue. It's easier to set a canister on a step than an upright. There always those who said canisters were cumbersome. I grew up in a small house, but my mom liked her canister. She had one upright and hated it. My...

John Long, I have only been to Atlantic City once, in 1985. My ex wanted to go. I lost $130 and have not gambled since. That was a day's gross pay for me in those days. I did like the boardwalk, and the ehem, "buffet" at Caesers Palace. From there we drove up to NY for a few days. I parked my...

    1970 Hoover Junior Dirtsearcher 1354A - Restoration

Great here too Alex! Thanks! Been buisy with summer gardening and such. Our second grand child was born the end of March, so we see them a lot too. My step daughters babies of course. I always liked kids, but obviously, my persuasion is for the more masculine gender strictly. I live about...

John, I rarely iron. I know many still do, and thats all well and good. My ex used to iron his hair. I must have been blind. Like 26 going on 13. Four years my senior. I guess I was "biggly" blinded because he was also a game player. He also bragged about being great at things, even if they...

Kenny, true! Brains and games are not synonymous with intellect, or snobbery, nor politic's. It's been the art of many failed deals though. Is anyone going to the liquidation sale at the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic city? It's going on now. I bet all the vacuum cleaners are sold already though.

    An Early Independence Day Celebration

Nice! I was looking at one. great price too. I use a small Weber smokey Joe now. It's old, so I need to replace it. It's mainly the two of us now. We don't host large groups, so although I really want one of those big round heavy ceramic lined smoker grills, we don't need it.

    Disgusted with Chinese manufactured products

Alliance laundry systems (Speed Queen) is in Ripon Wisconsin. Quality made by proud union people! I summise that because a Montreal teachers union is/was the major share holder, Scott Walker, the governor was unable to break their union, unlike the Wisconsin teachers. In South Korea, for...

    Tristar Model A101S

I had my aunts Revelation from the 1950's. It was turquoise with the air driven polisher. She kept it nice and clean. I gave it to someone who needed a sweeper.

    Eureka 502B

Cool tortoise Eureka Keither! Planning on using it, or keeping it mint brand new? Where did you find it? I never see those in any resale store or garage sale. It's at the opposite end of my 1979-80 Eureka model 1279 and 1289 brandywines.

    What's your favorite car?

convertables of any make and model are more valuable. The hard top sedan lincolns can be had for much less. A neighbor has a 1967 coupe. His wife keeps pestering him to sell it. I'd say it's almost in perfect condition. The thing with a classic, is something always needs work. Why? Well...

Electrolux Oxygen EL6988 3 Ultra Issues.

Those buttons on the handle operate resistance pads similar to those used on microwave ovens, but they are for one reason or other problematic on these machines. Our kids had one, and eventually it did not even power up. Do you have the powered upholstery tool as well? That quit working first...

    Best looking vacuum ever made.

Me being an art deco fan, the E-Lux XXX has the best looking floor tools, then Compact, as is their little piggy hammered metal canister design. I'm also partial to colors of blue, deep reds like burgundy, and turquoise.

    An Important Announcement

Oh so sorry Andrew! It is sad because we Loved them. Knowing my mom is with my grandmothers is a comfort though. Grieve with passion. Once you feel better, focus on how happy she would want you to be. You sound like a great young man. I'm sure she had a very positive role in your upbringing.
