p n motor not working Dave Check the hose that goes from the nozzle to the bag, there is a switch in the lower hose duct where u pull it out from the nozzle, this is designed to stop the brush roll when you use the hose for edge cleaning and such. hope this helps Robert

chinese vac I have one of those, got it wal mart 2 years ago for twenty dollar. Good suction when empty but..... clogs too soon.

ki.rby shampoo NO NO!!!!!!!!!! You can not use kirby shampoo in a hoover steam vac as it is to sudsy and will ruin your hoovers motor and bearings.
