    Dyson Free on gumtree advice

I'd go for it, depending on how far I had to travel of course. I found both my tri stars in the trash, among other things that have made me shake my head in wonder. It might be fine, it might be a mess and only good for parts, they may have gotten a new one and just don't want it anymore.

    I used to hate these!

Mine, in need of a good clean up and a belt change. My husband had it at his business for awhile...he prefers "cough" the bagless models.

    Sprint in the snow

After the bath. Hope I remember how to put this thing back together.

    Sprint in the snow

Seriously, they must have sucked up 2 lbs of sawdust with this thing. I thought it was a goner.

    Sprint in the snow

Kid and hubby brought home this sorry looking thing after the last snow storm for my scrap pile.

    How much for this Tri-star?

I'd bring it home for $40. That's a nice one.

    Tristar SB Steam Buggy Cleaner

I had one, found it for $2.00 at a sale. Needed something at the time for steaming off some old wallpaper so took a chance on it, it did the trick and worked well for cleaning also. The cork? gasket on the fill cap finally went and it would not seal tight, shooting steam out everywhere once it...

Tip re. the Bissell Model 3570 "Lift Off"

Great timing, MIL just dropped off her 4220 (same style as the 3750 pictured, but with the 3 prong plug). She complained it had no suction, first thing I did was reseat the upper part and now it has suction and power to the brush bar but no response from either switch to shut them off. Plug it...

    Contest idea / Hand vac

I've tried quite a few. I really love my vintage brown Black & Decker Collector. Found it for $2 at a yard sale, they actually had 2...still kicking myself for being cheap and not getting the other one too. But I came from the era of the cordless dustbuster, so I wasn't expecting it to work as...

    Kenmore Progressive Curb Find

A different one I haven't run across before. Panasonic under a Kenmore label? Top handle piece is missing, I'm assuming it's similar in setup to the self-propelled Hoover's? Anyone familiar with this one? Motor sounds great, messing with the one switch at the handle seems to get the brush bar...

    A Crazy Trash Find

I find stuff like that all the time. Just because it's out for trash, don't assume it's "trash"...many are in the need of a new bag and someone decided they wanted a shiny new bagless instead or clogged by someone careless enough to vacuum up a sock or something they didn't see under a piece of...

    April Curb Finds

Sorry picture isn't the greatest, shot from the cellphone...since someone forgot to charge the batteries in the camera. The Aptitude has been on my list of "wants" for awhile, I just love the look of them (I even have a pile of new bags and belts stashed away for this model I found at a tag...

    G4

Very Nice. I picked up a bunch of kirby tools/front nozzle/shampoo curbside a couple months back from a G4, unfortunately I think scrappers beat me to the G4...: (
