I love my vintage tri-stars canisters. Just so much easier for me to switch attachments and maneuver. I think it's just a matter of preference and how you use them.

Another vote here for those power brush attachments. Ugh. My favorite had to be that nylon feather duster type thing that came equipped on a certain model orange Eureka. Seriously how was that a good idea? LOL

I'm not familiar with the Bissell Big Green, but I've picked up a couple of the newer Bissell proheat 2x (clogged at the curb). Fixed them, tried them, gave them away and kept my Hoover spin scrub. I like all the attachments, but as for cleaning carpets...I really wasn't impressed.

Yikes! I've picked up ones that had been through a flood that looked better than that. It may run but it will probably start screaming like a banshee soon if it hasn't already. I don't think you could even go wrong putting in a good used motor if you don't want to buy new.
