When Did Vax Hop Into Bed With Electrolux/AEG?

If one is to evaluate the overall design aesthetic... the references to Dyson in construction an materials is clear if not exact.

This looks like a Tri-Star copycat

just a comment... suggested retail and what they actually sold for are horses of very different colors...

What Vacuums Can you "Never Have Too Many Of" ?

I am struggling here... I don't understand this "too much - too many" idea... whatever the passion, space and bank balance will permit! But on a more serious note one of each and every variation of Electrolux USA and Canada production from birth through the last of the metal bodied machines and...

    My Extensive Collection Part 5

Electrolux Green brushroll I have 2 of those green brushrolls. They do tear up a fine carpet but they can make a beat down rug look new again too. I pop one in every now and then for the indoor/outdoor carpet in the dogs room, nothing escapes those stiff green bristles. And you do have to pay...

When Did Vax Hop Into Bed With Electrolux/AEG?

they are very similar, but not identical. One has a pull out handle the other does not, the hose routing and tools are different, the floor brushes are different, etc. The design is the universal Dyson Clone look of the last 5 years for all bagless uprights and not a few bagged models.

    Reputable kirby dealer wanted

I know the Kirby Distributor in Reno will take $750 cash at the office, hell he'll probably take $700 at the end of the month just to get one more on the books.... Shipping is another matter entirely, and he's a, how does one put this, jackass to his salespeople but the reality is 7-750 is what...

Found my own Avacodo dream today

Mine is a cruiser rather than a bomber... a nearly perfect Kirby D80, just needs a good polish to be as new. Now I need to keep my eyes open for the matching tools.... but I'm not complaining, at $30 it was a bargain, brushroll looks new and not a scratch on it anywhere. Bag is a replacement but...

Riccar dealer saying TOL canisters unreliable???

Sounds like crap to me... I have 2 aunts with Riccar TOL canisters. One has an Immaculate and the other Impeccable, neither have had the slightest bit of trouble with them and both are in use every day if not twice a day. My mom has a Simplicity S36 that is several years old and has never had an...

Need a model number for a new vacuum

According to my local Sears store, the model # is 116.24196 and no spares or parts other than bags are available and it has no replaceable filters. When I get home from the wild, wild west of northern Montana, I will pay the store a visit and see for myself.

    model 115 hoover help !!!

I believe that the hose for the attachments connects directly to the fan port after removing the cover and belt. It's been a while since I've played with one, but that is what I think I remember. I'm sure one of the Hoover experts will soon correct me if I'm wrong.

    Odd Hitachi cylinder vac

We had one quite like that in the late 60's when I was very young and my father was stationed in Japan. I think I have a picture with it sitting in the kitchen. I will have to look through the albums.

I was just offered a Rainbow D3C Vacuum for $20

I'd take it... I always am looking for a cheap Rainbow. One of the few vacuums I've not personally used.

    Sometimes Sears really comes through

The power nozzles are made for Panasonic by Cen-tec, the current versions of the 12 inch nozzles are the CT12DX Series. All 12 inch Power nozzles use  #38348 Flat Belt and #49238 Roller Brush. Both are Cen-tec parts.   You can visit Cen-tec's web site and find all kinds of parts at the link...

What should i pay for a model 28?

I find that there are always people who think they have found the golden egg when they get Granny's old sweeper. It must be rare and valuable, she's had it since 1940!!! I hate to 'enlighten' them sometimes... but it is necessary on occasion. I am known in my area as a collector and repairer of...
