    Next Kirby?

I really hope I'm wrong here, but in New York Kirby isn't doing well. The number of distributors is diminishing and I think they're gonna get the full mileage out of that Generation platform until they close their doors. We may see another variation or two of the Generation series before they...

This Hoover 69 packs a surprise inside....

Wow, I had no idea. Wonder if they made replacement bags using other prints on the inside? Seems a shame more than a quarter of a century later, as those bicentennial Hoovers are getting rarer all the time....

How old is my oreck vacuum

It was manufactured on the 128th day of 2008, so it's eleven years old. Orecks are good machines, provided they aren't abused. Many I have found in yard sales and thrift shops were in terrible condition because they were used and abused.

This Hoover 69 packs a surprise inside....

I just saw this Hoover model 69 on eBay. Clearly the bag is a replacement. But if you look inside it's the print from the bicentennial edition! Did Hoover have extra vinyl to make replacement bags? Has anyone else seen this before? - Hershel...

    Next Kirby?

I met with some fire and brimstone from the Kirby "die-hards" the last time I posted regarding this subject about how the Generation platform is tried and true, and Kirby WON'T come up with a new machine until they can come up with a better design. I myself feel 30 years is too long and the...

Picked up my first Hoover Convertible (U4171)

Not at all... In fact, Hoover's LAST convertible the RS convertible U4597 used this style of hood. That was in 1992. It made its debut on the 31 Special.

    NOS Hoover DAM u6039 pics

I absolutely LOVE the sea blue color of the U6039, and the decoration on the front exhaust cover. I didn't think a NIB Dial-A-Matic even still existed. You are lucky indeed! On as side note, what difference (if any) was there between the U6039 and the U6039-030? It almost looks as though...

The new Oreck I mean Hoover

I guess you could call it a Hoovreck! Lol

    Hamilton Beach Model 14

If that's true, then I would say he definitely had a hand in designing the Eureka model M. Even the molded handle grip seems Kirby-esque.

My annual trip to N Canton

I hope you have a fantastic time! Take lots of pictures. I would be curious to know if there are any final reminders of where the Hoover vault used to be? - Hershel

    Polar Cub Upright?

It must've been a fairly early model. I see all the appliances shown have socket plugs.

    Pix of the day

I will have to try this Amsoil. Thank you bnsd60m9200!

    Hospital Eureka Roto-Matic

I found this picture of a Roto-Matic on a website of abandoned locations. This one is in an abandoned hospital in Detroit. What I'm curious about is did Eureka make these special for hospital use (as Electrolux did with the hospital G) or was this something the hospital itself cobbled...

    Pix of the day

What is the general consensus on Tri-Flo synthetic grease? Would it be a suitable grease in a case like this? I have a Hoover 61 where the lower bearing is dry, also a Hoover convertible 728 with the same issue.

    Electrolux Olympia One with Box

Vacmaster Since you live in the vicinity of the seller would you facilitate the shipping if the seller won't? You would of course be reimbursed for shipping costs.

    Kenmore Magic Blue

Very nice shape. That machine was made for Sears by LG. I bought one open box back in 2003. Hardly used it since....

    Kirby Utility on eBay

I've often wondered what was the original purpose of the cleaner to be dubbed "Utility?". Seems a tad bulky and cumbersome to be a conventional hand vac even for 1930's standards.

    Hoover Windtunnel Self-propelled model help

It is a model U6485-900 anniversary model and could have been manufactured as recent as a year ago. AFAIK Hoover just recently discontinued the power drive Windtunnel.

    Airway Dirtmaster

Since there have been no inquiries about it yet, have you an idea in mind as to what you would like for the DirtMasteR?

    Kirby commercial

I've often wondered why the Kirby commercial vacs are rarer than hen's teeth and why the Kirby company practically denies their existence. Did they not sell well? I recall even years ago seeing maybe one or two SuperVac 180's in a vacuum store but that's it. The Janitronic I've only seen...
