Experimenting with Miele vs Filter Queen, Electrolux, Dyson etc..

Lloyd's experiment goes to show that melt blown polypropylene bags, combined with a bag chamber design that channels the airflow through all sides of the bag as it fills is superior. 159 sandwich bags sucked into a KK bag on a S194... That's incredible.

    Miracle Mate Experts

The Sebo PH is used exclusively for machines sold in Canada. Miracle Mate is based Richmond, British Columbia. I believe the discrepancy is due to Sebo being distributed by two different companies in North America. Floor Care Equipment exclusively in Canada, and Sebo America only for the US.

My New Aerus Vacuums - Part 2

Thank you for your response, Dan. The nine layer AirClean bags have improved greatly over Miele's first three layer IntensiveClean and IntensiveClean Plus bags.

My New Aerus Vacuums - Part 2

Could you please elaborate on what bags you say leaked, kirbyloverdan? Were those IntensiveClean, IntensiveClean Plus, HyClean or AirClean bags? As a current Authorized Miele dealer, I do not have machines coming in that are using genuine bags...

My New Aerus Vacuums - Part 2

electromatik... There are many different melt blown polypropylene bags manufactured of various densities and techniques, just like those made of paper. Now, to say all MBP bags leak because the Lux International/Sauber melt blown polypropylene bags leaked is unbelievably short-sighted...

    NSS PIG vacuum for sale

A nightmare to get an item out of the fan case? It's actually very simple. Pull the bumper down from the front section (snout), then remove five screws. Once that's done, you'll have access to the fan and the fan case. For $20.00, I'd snap that up in a second. I already own two, one of which...

Filtrete Miele G/N Synthetic Bags and Filters

Congratulations on your purchase! However... Since your S8 Kona is new, I would avoid all aftermarket bags. Using bags from third-party manufacturers will likely void your warranty. While I do not have experience with the 3M branded bags (3M name simply licensed to EHCPNA), I have had bad...

    Miele S8

If I may... Firstly, Miele is one of only a handful of vacuum cleaner manufacturers that actually make their own cord rewinds. Secondly, regardless of who makes the rewind, a longer cord will result in much greater force and stress to the cord, the rewind assembly and its mechanism. For Miele...

Modern Vac / Arus-Lux knock off?

I have one... It's a very nice, quiet machine. The machine itself is made in Sweden.

    Samsung Vacuums

...if you look at their upright it has some Bissell qualitie That's because Samsung makes the majority of Bissell's vacuum cleaners. For vacuum cleaners, the Bissell brand is nothing more than a name stamped to vacuums sourced from other manufacturers.

    Unexpected find this morning.

$12.99 for a Miele Blue Moon is a STEAL regardless of its condition! Well done! If the machine shuts itself off without your input, yet the control panel remains lit, it's likely an issue with either the hose or the circuit board. In my experience, it's normally the hose (SES 125) that's the...

    wierd bissell

Wow, that's true innovation! *rolls eyes* Well done, Bissell and Samsung! You can watch the dirt and debris for a split second as it smears itself against some useless clear plastic corkscrew thing (inspired by a playground slide?) before it enters the bag...

    Wally World

Walmart Canada is stocking the Electrolux (AB) Nimble, UltraActive, Pronto and Rapido. As with any big-box retailer carrying these machines, they're hoping prospective buyers will purchase these solely on the "Electrolux" name...

    Kenmore troubles

It's definitely a clog... The flapping noise is coming from the bleeder valve that's vibrating while allowing air to enter the machine to help prevent the motor from overheating.

    Aerus Guardian Platinum

"...motor with 505 air watts/116" water lift thru mu Those numbers are taken at the motor itself, not when in it's used in its actual application inside of the machine.

    Miracle Mate motor question

Domel is based in Železniki, Slovenia. Motors are manufactured in Slovenia, as well as China.

    Miracle Mate motor question

The photos of the Domel motor in your Platinum all appear to be completely normal. The black (carbon) build-up on the commutator is normal, as well. There's no need for any intervention.

    Tristar cannister with non-Tristar hoses

What TriStar are you referring to that has a powerhead that "breaks much more often"? In my experience, the plastic neck assembly is the most common piece to break on the older models (those machines in my display picture, CXL, EX20), but it shouldn't occur with such frequency to...

    Bissell Powerforce In Commercial Settings

Yes, the Samsung Digimax VAC8913BP is still available in Canada. When the full-size 9000 series machines first launched in Canada, depending on the model, they came included with either the Wessel Werk EBK 280 or Lindhaus powerhead. All machines since have their powerheads made in-house...
