No, the heritage 1 wont ever out clean a newer machine. The emptors are different, and that really changes the airflow on them.

I think you might have a hole in the bag. Pull the bag gard up and check for any holes or worn spots. If you are getting tired of the dist, I have new shake out bags for the classic 3.
