The Hoover-ification of Oreck Has Begun

kirbyloverdan, TTI HAS ruined Hoover. I'd love to see a brand-new Hoover Windtunnel Max-Rewind-something-or-other out-clean any of my Hoovers. I'd bet dollars to donuts that my 1935 Hoover 300 'Special' will shatter your plastic TTI P.O.S in a head-to-head cleaning contest.

Early Electrolux Up Right and Canister

Love the 1521 canister, I have the Ultralux LX, which is the same as the DJ/Grand Marquise/etc. I'm having motor troubles with it right now, but it's still a good cleaner.    As for the upright, that is Electrolux's first upright, the Heavy Duty Automatic. I've never used one before, but...

Got My Very First Hoover Convertible

I personally see nothing wrong with using attachments on a fan-first cleaner. Actually, my Kirby Heritage II-Legend is one of my best-performing cleaners, both on carpets and with the hose. The fan-first setup provides direct airflow, making it a wonder for above floor cleaning. You just have...

WILL A KIRBY "F" Hepa BAG FIT A HOOVER TYPE A FILL TUBE?

Not a clue But I would definitely try it. I have seen someone convert a top-fill Convertible to a Kirby fill tube setup. He attached a section of 2 inch diameter shop vacuum tube to the bellows in the Hoover, and then attached a Kirby Heritage II fill tube to the modified bellows. I think he...

Riccar 'Immaculate' or Miele s8 'Uniq'

Yeah.... I would have gone for the Miele, or found a much cheaper alternative. So much for quality.

This AirWay Sanitizor 66 runs beautifully!!!

Thanks! There's actually a fair number of them on eBay right now, some are in better shape than others. I'd say do some looking on eBay! You'll find a good one soon.

This AirWay Sanitizor 66 runs beautifully!!!

Hey all! Here's my latest machine, an AirWay Sanitizor 66. I'm really happy with it so far, it runs great, cleans well, and is ridiculously quiet! I think it's my quietest vintage canister! Oh, and yes, that is an original cellulose bag! Check out the link to see it in action. Enjoy! ...

Did Any Hairdressers Actually Use the Kirby Turbo Groom Kit?

Who manufactured The Heritage Turbo Brush? I've heard that it was built by VacuFlo, but I'm not sure. It says "Made in Canada" on the underside.

it about dyson dc 24 cfm

CFM measures how much air is being moved in cubic feet. A Kirby Sentria II moves 80-85 cubic feet/minute of air. Direct-air vacuums move much more air than clean-air vacuums. I'd guess that a Dyson moves 5-10 CFM at best, because the air has to enter the nozzle, swirl around in the bin, split...

    A scam!

It's only fair if the Kirby for sale is in good working shape. If I'm going to pay over $100 for a used Kirby, I would hope that it's been serviced within the last 5 years, and is at least mostly complete. If it's been abused and has a hidden mechanical problem that's going to become a serious...

TORNADO NLS UPRIGHT 19290 Russell Hobbs

Looks like The new Panasonic bagless models we have here. I have read some bad reviews on the Panasonic machines, but I think they're kinda neat.

Rexair Model B: Sealing the pan with FlexSeal?

Dysonman1 What are your thoughts on using FlexSeal? I understand it that you have restored a fair number of these older Rexairs.

Rexair Model B: Sealing the pan with FlexSeal?

Thanks! I might just try it, then. I was kind of wondering about whether or not it'll produce flammable fumes, I'll have to read up on the instructions/warnings on the can. If I'm still doubtful, I might email the company themselves and see what they think.

Rexair Model B: Sealing the pan with FlexSeal?

Hey all! I've got a Rexair Model B that has a rusty water pan. The coating has been chipping off since I got it, and I'm worried that it's rusting more and more as I keep using it. I was wondering if I could strip out the old coating, clean up most of the rust without wearing through the metal...

    concept one drive

The belt you need is Belt #160147. I just picked one up for my Concept One Powerdrive. Your local vacuum shop should carry this belt, and if not, VacPartsWarehouse carries them (check my link). I've ordered from them, they're really good. Just a word of warning: The drive belt is a pain in the...

    Simplicity Freedom Premium model S10P

Dysonman, Do you have any more pictures or even a video of that DirtMasteR? I think it's a fascinating machine, and I would love to see one in action! All of AirWay's machines are fairly interesting, my new Sanitizor 66 just came in yesterday. LOVE IT!!!
