    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

Sure I can check later tonight. I'd heard of owners of the earlier E2's buying the previous generation's wet certified electric hose so that they could use the new Aquamate... that's a huge improvement over the old Aquamate with the big white water reservoir. I imagine you could go that route...

Help! What is happening to my Rainbow

Weird! I've never seen mine do that. I would have suggested it was a switch problem but clearly it's trying to do something when you turn it on. Does the separator still spin freely by hand? I hope your motor isn't going. Hopefully someone else will have some experience with this issue. Good luck!

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

@lux_luthor I don't think the new wands fit any of the older E series hoses, especially for the older models that don't have direct connect. I haven't specifically tried what you're asking about, but I did stick the extraction head from the E2 Aquamate shampooer made for the 1 and 2 speed E's...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

@denverblueeyes - Congratulations! It's fine to run your machine 24/7. I do it now frequently with the SRX, and used to do it with my previous E2 as well. Presumably, it is fine to run the machine for extended periods on any speed, as the 90 minute timer works on all 4 speed settings. I often...

Fair price for an Electrolux EPIC 6500 SR?

Thanks, all I appreciate the feedback! The seller is a bit of a drive from me, so I'm still searching... if I go see it I'm likely to bring it home. :) It looks like the seller is a collector; they have 4 or 5 machines currently for sale on CL. @gabowenjr - I'll be sure to check wands and...

Fair price for an Electrolux EPIC 6500 SR?

Hi all! I'm looking at picking up an EPIC 6500SR from CL. It has all the attachments, including the mini PN, and 5 bags. Everything looks to be in pretty good shape from the pics but I haven't seen it yet or heard it run. The seller is asking $120 for the machine. Is that a fair price if the...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

Pulled the Trigger So I bought... got the Rainbow, the mini powerhead, Aquamate shampooer and the 14 foot hose. I'm really pleased with it so far: it's a lot quieter than my old E2 two-speed, and I really like the 4 speed options for different cleaning tasks and for air purification. Message...

My first Robot Vacuum- how was yours?

Samsung Powerbot 7040 Hi all, I have a Samsung Powerbot; this is my experience: Pros: * The brush role is nearly the full width of the machine. (Many robotic vacuums have a narrow, tiny brush and therefore can't clean well near walls.) * It modifies the power level between carpet and hard...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

Yikes! Sounds like the price is going to come in higher than I was hoping. I'll find out tomorrow. I don't plan to finance anything with Rainbow, so the APR piece isn't an issue for me. $3600 is going to be a touch pill to swallow when my current Rainbow doesn't NEED to be replaced by any...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

One more thing..... The new SRX has a timer feature. Does it turn the vacuum off completely after 30/60/90 minutes? If so, doesn't this seem like a bad idea? Leaving a warm Rainbow sitting on top of a wet water basin used to be the best way to ruin your machine. I'm confused why Rexair would...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

Price? I'm leaning toward an upgrade on Wednesday. Mpbyrd - you said you paid around $2,600? Did that include much for extra accessories or just the standards? I own the Gold E2 2-speed and may upgrade this week. There is nothing wrong with my machine, but I love the new styling and I've had...
