    NIB Hoover 918

Tom: more like opened the kimono 😂😂😂 I almost bought it and figured I had spent enough this month on NOS machines. Machines that are much more rare not to mention I already have ONE 913 in gorgeous condition and don’t need any more. Better yet had I had bought it, I would have just went to...

    Kirby Diamond After Fire

My rainbow was in a house fire And actually managed to survive while everything around it was completely destroyed. I sold the machine to a very close family friend in 2014, and they lost their house in July 2018. The fire started about 6ft from where the rainbow was stored. Everything in the...

    Central vac inlet??

I actually believe that might be a vent for heating. Back in those times a lot of homes used gravity furnaces also known as the octopus. There were numerous vents throughout the house with a large vent located in a central location. As the heat rose, the cold air fell and it would be a...

What was the strangest thing you found stuck in a modern vacuum

I have had a mouse skeleton lodged in the power head of an E-series Rainbow along with a condom in a D4 (shoebox) PN, a tampon in the hose of an E2 gold with a hair pin holding it back. It goes on and on.

    NIB Viking 720

there were 2 the one that was complete and the other with nothing. what's funny is that the seller used the same description for both but the titles were different. I did grab the second one after I got this one for a couple of reasons when I received this machine I noticed that there was a...

    NIB Viking 720

Thank you! there was a second one on eBay that was the canister only, nothing else and I grabbed it to keep it new as this one I think I am going to use. there is a hairline crack at the base of the bag door which doesn't bother me as it isn't noticeable and I believe it was due to storage...

    NIB Viking 720

I have been watching this for the last couple of weeks on eBay and when I went to bid last week, I was instantly outbid on an automatic bid. I am not sure if the buyer ever paid because the machine was relisted. I have a real soft spot for the Swedish/British Electrolux machines and considering...

    Rainbow 2 speed motor

Lower bearing will come off with the fan housing, upper bearing unless held on with a nut, will need to be pressed off or pulled with a bearing puller.

there are actually quite a few of us on here who work in vac shops, I work in a the repair shop of a rainbow distributor doing all of the repair work, but that doesn't mean I only work on rainbows, I work on all kinds of stuff in my spare time from Hoover, Electrolux, Kirby, Kenmore, fantom...

    Bissell PHE Lift-Off Brushroll Questions

Pack it with #2 grease and call it a day. Never oil ball bearings, as that will destroy ball bearings, oil is used for brass sleeve bearings.

How to disassemble Fantom Fury motor?

By looking at the dust on the motor, that machine has been used quite a bit and I know it was cleaned and serviced before being sent to you. It’s possible that the fans are caked. It will need to be cleaned.

How to disassemble Fantom Fury motor?

There were no modifications, it’s just the normal black wire that goes to the motor. The reason for you not being able to get the fan casing apart is because you removed the upper portion of the motor before taking the fan nut off and starting at the bottom. I could very easily take that apart...

A nice Fall October mega bash

Well there’s an idea that I would love to put to use! After talking with some it seems like there are more people that would come next time. Now about that shade of grey, people tend to be using a lot of grey these days and it would fit in to a lot of what people are doing with their interiors...

A nice Fall October mega bash

You and me both! It most likely would have never saw the light of day again... well it will be well used now. I had asked Chris to bring me some decorative tableware as he brought chips but he wound up running behind and forgot the decorative pieces.   You just wait to see what we have...

A nice Fall October mega bash

Luxlife It really is, isn't it? that still even has the 220v motor in it. Sam purchased it from Robbie Coonradt on Saturday and it couldn't have gone to a better home. The original motor will be serviced and put to use on his new voltage converter box that I believe arrived today. He has such a...
