Brad I know what is wrong I have had numerous AP280s do this to me all you have to do is replace the connectors between the door and bag chamber after time they become oxidized and no longer make full contact. So if you go down to your local vac shop they should have exactilly what you are...

Could we maybe see a picture because there is a certain hose I have been looking for and for the life of me I have not been able to find one in good condition. The one tristar had that was a very STIFF hose and always broke but ya I would love to see a picture thanks. Zach
