Most Ideal Royal upright vacuum to have.

I am a big fan of Royal's. My first new vacuum was a Royal 880 in 1974. When I lost it years later I found the 881 in the picture at a thrift store for $8.00. After many hours of restoration instead of being my daily driver, it started my collection. Since then I have added the 880 and recently...

    Kirby belt on a Royal?

I was once advised against using a Kirby belt if the Royal is an older model with a motor of less than 6 amps because of motor bearing damage. I know that they use a lighter belt and the 6-10 amp models use a stronger belt. Mike

    Royal Prince II information

The 880 in my Royal collection has a bag with a "Royal Prince II" identification. I also have another that is beige with red trim. Anybody know anything about them? Before anybody comments on the obvious in the picture, the incorrect belt cover on the 215 is filling the hole until I can find an...

    My new Eureka Model K

I just found this Eureka Model K half buried in the bins of a thrift store outlet location. It could use some new rear wheels and a new nozzle bumper but otherwise is in great shape! It runs like new and makes a nice trio with my Model G and M of the same vintage. I assume they are from the...

Ben Thanks for the info. I just looked at the ID plate. It is a model 606. The serial # begins with 47E; May 1974? Yes it is a newer belt cover I had sitting around. Mike

    Bag Restoration

Although my collection is primarily of Royal's, I have these two vintage Eureka's, a model G and model M in beautiful original condition. The dust bags are in good shape except for the graphics which are deteriorated. Any suggestions on how to restore this? A friend suggested trying liquid...

    Royal 215 belt cover needed

I have finally acquired my dream vacuum cleaner for my collection, a Royal 215 that appears to be in near new, very lightly used condition. However, it is missing the belt cover. Can anyone help me with the original belt cover like in the picture? I am interested in original accessories too...
