In the end... These are both very nice vacuums, the Dyson being a bit more powerful suction wise. If they had better filters and motors the vortex could last just as long. But, they do make very very nice collection pieces especially stood next to their death!

My Little Line up

My Mother bought this new some time in the early 2000's and it has been a very trusted vacuum, also used by a number of family until I got hold of it. You just got to look after your Dyson and it will look after you!

Nice senior, you need to retro- brite the base to bring it back otherwise it should come up nicely.

If I'm right in thinking the electrolux is bag less then I would stick with the Dyson. You will require much less maintenance and the dyson shouldn't clog like the boss does. The dyson is just a whole different machine to the boss. With the hose , just press the button and use it like a dc04. I...

That Siemens looks awesome and the dc07 has cleaned up really nicely too! Don't worry about unrestored vacs; I have my fair share to do yet.
