Vac companies where'd they come from?

Here's Miele's history. They seem to have started in the 30's. http://www.mieleusa.com/about_miele/about_miele.asp?oT=115&benefit=97&active=The%20Company&subm=Corporate&thirdL=About%20Miele&fourthL=History&menu_id=42

What does a vacuum need to be good?

In your opinion, what makes a vacuum good? For me, it's ease of use. Even if I need to clean the whole house, I'm more likely to grab my Sebo X2 and Hoover Constellation that I am to use a heavy power nozzle canister. The Sebo's got a great handle design, and the Constellation has one of the...

Cleaning a Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled

I gave the vacuum a test run for the first time, and the self propel isn't working. The windtunnel's handle feels very loose as it moves up and down, in contrast to my Power Drive, which offers some resistance when I push it. Any idea as to what the problem is?

    NSS PIG vacuum for sale

Get that vac as fast as you can! I've heard the NSS Pig is one of the best dry shop vacs ever. Besides, they are around $1000 new, and I'm sure someone on this forum knows how to fix that problem.

Cleaning a Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled

I'm pretty sure the vacuum isn't clogged in that area, but I am curious how to remove clogs in the area highlighted just because many of the clean air vac clogs I've faced have been there.

Cleaning a Hoover Windtunnel Self Propelled

On Friday, I bought a Hoover Windtunnel S/P from goodwill for about $20. The bag was stuffed, so I assume that was why the former owners threw it away. How do I do a full disassembly and cleanout of one of these machines?
