    Sebo Felix questions

My recently purchased used Felix is the first vacuum my wife likes following my purchases of a Miele C3 and U1 and a Shark Ultra-lite Rocket. My ~8-10 year old Felix had a loose hose-switch issue that I think I have finally resolved after many weeks of failed service calls (I eventually got...

Sebo X7 in the US: when?

    Excellent!

No power to Sebo ET-1 head or bush roll switch broken?

Two weeks after getting my Sebo back from repair the power head stopped getting power again. I took it in, after 15 minutes they brought it out of the back room and said a micro switch had been out of alignment. They aligned it and now the head is working again. WTH?

    Newest Find

That is a nice find! "It always amazes me how people will discard an vacuum due to a blockage, broken belt, dirty filter, "(There's a filter"?) And, I'm amazed, not just with my beloved Hoovers, but, with other species as well. Terrible waste. But, smart collectors!! " For past month I had...

No power to Sebo ET-1 head or bush roll switch broken?

Finally I got my Felix back from repair. It looks like the connecting collar to the power head was replaced with a dark grey part vs. the original brown. Beyond that, all seems to be working fine.

No power to Sebo ET-1 head or bush roll switch broken?

Vacuumdevil, sorry for my confusing math recap... $350 includes acquiring the vacuum from auction, replacing all filters and the brush roll and finally, the cost of the repair. So I’m still ahead vs. a new one if I can get years of enjoyment from here with no additional repairs.

No power to Sebo ET-1 head or bush roll switch broken?

Ouch, just got the call from the Sebo dealer... will be needing a "neck assembly" and some other wiring something-or-other. Parts need ordered so not ready until next week and a 3-figure repair. If I didn't love how the vacuum cleans I may have told them to keep it. Now my auction "deal" is...

No power to Sebo ET-1 head or bush roll switch broken?

Thanks. Not the hose. Took to a dealer. They are trying to track down the issue. We'll see how this plays out.

No power to Sebo ET-1 head or bush roll switch broken?

My luck with online auction sites has come to an end. A month or two ago I got what I thought was a good deal on a somewhat aged Felix Classic. After cleaning it up and replacing all the filters and brush roll it was running like new. Now today I go to vacuum and there are no lights on on the...

Oh boy, just ordered a Felix

All my pieces parts have finally come in. This vacuum runs like a dream. As it turns out, when I was cleaning the hose I nearly cut myself as I discovered a sewing needle that was stuck from one side to the other of the hose, barely poking out on either side. It must have been what started...

Oh boy, just ordered a Felix

Update: Felix arrived! No pictures yet as I wait for a new external micro-filter and internal filter to arrive. In pretty good shape, but a few gouges. It is shining up pretty good. I tried a test run of the motor only to find there was clearly extreme blockage. I located it in the hose...

Why I think canisters aren't popular in United States anymore

My first "high end" vacuum was a Miele C3 cannister... it was the Alize non-powered head, but I then proceeded to spend a lot more $$ to get the powered hose, wand and head, along with about every attachment. When I want to do a thorough house cleaning nothing beats it. But I agree in somewhat...

Oh boy, just ordered a Felix

I still await the arrival of my Felix. This would be a pre-"ePower" 1300W version. I'm not sure I've seen a comparison of performance between the 1300W version and Sebo ePower (700W?) version. Anyone have any experience on actual performance differences? Is the older version just louder or...

Oh boy, just ordered a Felix

I’m intrigued by vacuumtest’s Sebo to Miele filter bad adaptor. I really like Miele GN bags. How does one go about building an adaptor?

Oh boy, just ordered a Felix

Any thoughts on / experiences with life-expectancy of the Felix? Anyone ever have one die on them? I suspect the one I'm getting for a song & dance may be ~8 years old, but has very few scuffs and the owner says runs like new. I can return it if I find any flaws. I suspect it will have a...

Oh boy, just ordered a Felix

Its been a while since acquiring a vacuum... but found a good deal on a gently used Felix. I should be receiving in another week. I already have new filters and brush roll in transit. I look forward to comparing to my Miele U1. Updates to come.

Shark - amazing rise to the top of Consumer Reports

I'm in year 1 of having one and I like it. If it breaks within 3 years I likely will not replace it. It was a Costco impulse buy. The downside is having to wash the filters monthly that then take a 1/2 day to dry.

    Hepa bags. A gimmick?

I'm in my 50's and only "discovered" hi-end closed system vacuums and HEPA filters in the past few years. These past few years are the first time in my life I have nearly no allergy symptoms when most of my life they have been severe. Maybe this change in allergy reduction is due to something...
