    Sunbeam Challenger AKA Ugly Betty

Sunbeam For years I worked at a store that sold only Sunbeam vacs. Had them until they dropped the line, then went to Eureka and then Hoover. We sold a lot of Sunbeams, mainly canisters and stick vacs. They were well made and easy to use. The Challenger replaced the suitcase style Courier...

    Picked up this beauty today

Hoover I was in high school when we got our 1020 Brady Hoover. Great machine. I recall how it vibrated the dirt out of our thick green living room carpet. Thoughts on Hoover Dial-a-Matic 1120

DAM My DAM was my first vac I owned, and still is my favorite. I wish I would have kept it and just kept getting it fixed. It broke down twice so I traded it in for my first Kirby. The best thing about the DAM was it was so easy to use with the hose, and it had suction.Plus, you could pull it...

    Todays Vac of the day

What year about is the Hoover picture from? I am guess about 72 since I see the 1020, the vac I grew up with. I know we discussed this before, but who made Hoover's small appliance line?
