Sanitaire S490A -- Original Power Nozzle?

I rebooted my braincell. The Sanitaire S490A was made in Germany based on the Electrolux Z457. In the US it was sold with a Vibragroomer power nozzle. The hose is unique inasmuch as it has the three lug Electrolux canister connection ( also many Nilfisk hoses shared this connection ). The...

I'm still smiling at the towel and are those linens ( ? ) with the Hoover logo on them. Were those promotional items or something Hoover normally once sold?

    Electrolux vacuums to become extinct?

I haven't been able to figure out what company manufactures or at least assembles the S115 other than the name Kolektor is on all kinds of parts inside them. Kolektor is a big Slovenia based conglomerate so maybe they make it? I don't know for sure.

Sanitaire S490A -- Original Power Nozzle?

I have one but when I went to disassemble it to clean it a bunch of brass wire connectors broke as I was ever so gently taking it apart and now I don't know what wire goes where to put it back together. If your friend ever takes his apart I would sure like some images of how it is wired so I...

(1980s) Viking 241 Electronic canister vacuum.

Husqvarna was originally a manufacturer of firearms, but as the need for them dried up in circa 1872 they began making sewing machines then moved on to outdoor, lawn and garden equipment. That is their current product line. The Electrolux Group bought Husqvarna in 1986. Their motorcycle...

(1980s) Viking 241 Electronic canister vacuum.

Euroclean? Huh. In Europe Eureka Forbes sells copies of old Electrolux models under the Euroclean brand. In India, the home of Eureka Forbes, the Lux Intelligence / Aerus Guardian Platinum is sold there as the Eureka Forbes Euroclean Xtreme.

Look down towards the lower half of the handle. You can see the bag is in front and the cord wrapped on the side.

    What Do I Have?

Heat guns are kind of wimpy. I have never been too happy with their ability to heat things up well. Try running full hot tap water across it for a couple of minutes. Hot water seems to heat things better. With the heat gun you can be heating one side up but the other side is cooling down...

    What Do I Have?

You may be able to free the floor tool from the wand by running the hottest water your faucet has over the connection until everything is good and hot,or pour boiling water on it at the connection. Sometimes getting things hot can get them to loosen up. Not 100% but works often enough to be...

    NZ Electrolux machines

The Eureka 6984 "Home Cleaning System" also had the sliding power control and three position rocker switch on its hose. I have one. The identical looking 6982 hose has a mechanical air bleeder and a simple two position rocker switch to turn the power nozzle on and off. I have one of those...

A YouTube channel named Vacuum Facts doesn’t know how bagged vacuums works.

Some vacuums stores are honest and treat customers good but others like the Aerus dealer for our region are greedy and highly dishonest. The industry has its characters and its villains. Ask Dysonman how Tacony Corp treated him and how they tried to steal his collection. Even though our state...
