    Rainbow D2

I have the D2A (later dark brown version listed for wet pickup). It works awesome with the aquamate I, see my other thread on aquamate I vs II vs III.

Rainbow Aquamate I & II vs. III

I just got The AquaMate off eBay as my birthday present from my grandparents. It was the one made for the D3, and in the manual it says compatible with D2A, as well as the D3 series. I have a D2A. It works wonderfully, much better than the Hoover Steam Vac dual v all terrain. Even though the...

Rainbow Aquamate I & II vs. III

@floor-a-matic That is quite the interesting setup you have. It seems like it would work quite well. Trebor, the Rainbow I have is a D2 "A" which is a D2 with the D3 motor and a darker color scheme. While it may not be officially listed, it should work fine as it does have the bypass motor.

    My New (Old) Rainbow!

The fine dust could have been caused by infrequent emptying of the water pan by the previous owner. We all know through common sense that water or any liquid can only absorb so much before it dries up. Just figured I would say this before someone started trash talking the Rainbow :)

Rainbow Aquamate I & II vs. III

It may be worth the extra time, work, and inconvenience... To know that I am doing all the household cleaning with one machine - the Rainbow. (Yes I have a rather Obsessive-Compulsive Brain haha). My first big purchase was my Kirby GSix last year for $75, and my mom wouldn't appreciate me...

Rainbow Aquamate I & II vs. III

Just wondering what your thoughts are on the older style non motorized Aquamate. Also, how well does it work with the new Rainbow ultra concentrated 16 oz. shampoo? My reasoning is I would much rather use my grandma's D2A than have to buy the E2 off eBay. It would save a lot of money, and if the...

    baged or bagless 2

Personally... As an allergy sufferer, I prefer bagged. By bagged I don't mean the cheap WalMart plastic vacuums that use low grade paper. I mean the Polypropylene HEPA bags used in Miele, Kirby, etc. While my Dyson filters good, I find myself bringing outside to empty it for good measure. Both...

    Royal 501 motor oiling instructions

Thank you Morgan for your advice, I have heard of mixed feelings over three in one, and it seems to be the easiest to get so I bought it. I'll wait for some others to give their opinions before I try it.

    Royal 501 motor oiling instructions

Hi everyone! Just wondering if any of you Royal experts know how often and how many drops of 3 in 1 oil I should use. It is the older Red and Grey bag with a serviceable motor (brushes and two oiling ports).

    worst vacuums?

I have not been really driven to post on here in a while, but this is becoming ridiculous. Like Kyle and Josh said, it is his machine, not yours. He can do whatever the hell he wants to with it. It is not a catastrophe when there is one less working vacuum cleaner in the world. I think people on...

    Rainbow D2

My grandma has a D2A, though it says D2 on the model plate. It is the later dark brown version and does have a grounded cord. I would guess yours should also have this grounded cord, and I would be very cautious when using it without one because of the water and the chrome dome. It also isn't...

a little repetative there I guess! Whoops.

    Today's Haul from Goodwill

Sorry for the false alarm, I guess I should look for an actual gsix hose now that I know what color its supposed to be. Sorry for the false alarm :/

    Today's Haul from Goodwill

How much for the Kirby hose? Will it fit a GSix?

Thanks everyone for the information. If only we could know all the details ;).

Timeline of American Aerus/Electrolux L-Shape Uprights

For all the Aerus/Electrolux fans out there, can someone try to provide me a timeline of the first L-Shaped uprights to the current Lux Guardian? Any help would be greatly appreciated. To start I am pretty sure that the Discovery II came first. I have placed this in the Contemporary forum as...

    Electrolux Uprights and Filters

Does the brown colored side loading after filter start kit work with the Discovery III? My grandma has one and wants to have the filtration improved if at all possible. It doesn't say on Aerus's supply store.

    Kirby G3 Attachments

Our local goodwill has nothing even remotely close to the quality of Kirby, as well as the other thrift stores and garage sales. I really wish I could run into a GSix carpet shampoo system, and the local vac shop wants $60-75 for a used one and about $99 for a new one. Outrageous prices for...
