    Perfect Vacuum Power Nozzle Question

In regards to the power nozzle on the Perfect Canister, what I'm finding with it compared to the Lux PN5, or any Lux, is that the Perfect is much noisier?? At first I thought there wasn't enough tension on the belt, so I adjusted that, it made it worse. So, back off on the tension. Tried a...

    NOS 1992 orecks

I've got the upright like that one, bought it for $5. Needs a little tlc. Can you get a hepa/filtrete style bag for it?? What can be done to it to increase the filtration level??

Whats all the hipe over HEPA?

Overrated and misunderstood You guys are right, unless the system is sealed, hepa is a waste. Most consumers don't understand this simple concept! For my Lux canisters, style C, I've bought the hepa/filtrete style bags and have had great success with them. The bags filter better and last...

    New Royal Vacuum

I would almost swear that this is the same vac as the Aerus/Lux Fresh Era, or I should say the version that came just before the Fresh Era. Anyone compare the two??

Quiet, powerful, high filtration upright commercial vac

Have you thought of a Lindhaus??? Durable, easy to use machine. Stay away from the single motor unit, I've heard rumors these ones tend to be problematic, (clutch??) but the two motor versions are durable. Good deals are to be found on ebay.

Trip To Tania's! - Canadian Lux!

I'm glad Donna is returning your calls, I've been waiting for a response since Monday, and here it's late Thursday evening. Am I surprised with Aerus--NOT!!!! If you do get a hose for the 89, it will be close in color to the one of the model G, depending on when it was made. I happen to have a...

Trip To Tania's! - Canadian Lux!

I called Aerus Canada Monday afternoon about replacement hose, and what the part/service number is so I could order one through the local branch, here it is late Tuesday afternoon and they still haven't returned the call. As I said in a previous posting, I know a franchisee, we both looked up...

Trip To Tania's! - Canadian Lux!

Gary I was on Aerus inventory system and the hoses are no longer available, at least the product number we had used. If you have the number or know of a hose available, please let me know!!

Trip To Tania's! - Canadian Lux!

In regards to replacement filters and hoses for the 80 series canisters: Yes filters are still available. If the Aerus branch says no, they don't know the product number or are too lazy to look it up. I just saw some a couple of days ago that recently were ordered at the local Aerus. Hoses, no...

    Electrolux vacuum hassock/seat chest

Did electrolux in the US have the hassock/seat chest for storage of the vacuum like we had at one time in Canada?? I've been trying to get more info on them and am coming up short. We had them in Canada, but they have long been discontinued. They were usually a brown leatherette covering on...

    Electrolux E2000

Pete, I think the E2000 was sold around 1982-1984. Could be out a year or so. Just wondering if the different armature could be the cause of the "extra noise". If you split it open, I believe it has the provisions for also mounting the shorter (length), wider diameter motor.

    Electrolux E2000

Pete, According to Lux schematics, the E2000 has the same fan units as the AP series, but a different armature. Can't remember if it uses the same brushes or not. Haven't really played with or tested an E2000 to see how it compares with an AP in regards to lift and CFM. Vernon

    Maybe I'm out of touch...

Erick, You are right, Lux strictly advises not using the Epic 8000/Guardian hose on a Renaissance. A potential catastrophe. Rob, You are right to in that most people only replace the carcass and use the original end. Although, in most cases the hand grip will have problems such as the full bag...

    Lux power nozzle replacement brushes

Any suggestions for a good replacement brush for pn5, 6 and later Aerus/Lux power nozzles?? I like the current Aerus replacement, but don't like the price. Have tried Cleveland Woods, not bad, but a little stiffer than I'd like. There's one that the brush dowel is plastic, but the bristles are...
