The Hoover Elite Finally Turned Up!

Looks beautiful Alex!!  Can't wait to see it in its glory once you've cleaned it up!   Do you have a voltage converter to run it on UK power?

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

John... You have far too many Hoovers to possibly choose from!!  It would be nice to see them in year order, earliest at the bottom working their way up the stairs.   I couldn't possibly ask you to go to the trouble of mailing it out to me though, at least not without paying you something.

Finally preparing the Vacuum "gallery". Care to see some HOOVERS?

You know what, if I could get that "stair scene" printed and framed I would!!  GORGEOUS.   Just wondering John, did Hoover ever make an alarm clock?

Hoover without a doubt made the most gorgeous appliances, vacuums and non-vacuums. John, you are keeping the name alive!!

U2716 Has finally Gave Up :(

Ironically the same thing happened to my 1994 Turbopower 1000 U2812 a couple of years ago and I was in the same situation of being almost certain I would not find a replacement motor, but with a bit of eBay searching I found an early Turbopower 2 with a working 800W motor and a broken...

Your Dyson don't suck? Gee, I wonder why...

<a name="start_28490.318241"></a>"If you have Hoovers and Electroluxes, one begs the question in what you expected for £30, JM!"   I'm sorry?  I never paid £30 for it!!  In fact, that's what I'm asking for it for sale now.    <a name="start_28490.318241"></a>"I have seen similar Hoover...

Your Dyson don't suck? Gee, I wonder why...

Last weekend I picked up a Dyson DC07 which was going free about 30 miles from me, and as we wanted to go out for a drive anyway, I decided that we'd swing by and pick it up.   Apparently it worked fine (or, as fine as a Dyson can work - but do I judge?) in normal use but the hose had no...

Dyson Radial Root Cyclone Doesn't Work Very Well!

This thread worked better than any anti-depressant for me tonight!!  What a laugh.   The bottom line is though, as I knew, Dyson will never manufacture a vacuum cleaner which meets 100% of its marketing promises.   On that note, I think I'll vacuum the living room with the 2011 Numatic...

What a beautiful model!  I don't recall seeing those before.    I presume there is a Hedlite behind that lens?

    Old Hoovers

Those Hoovers look very menacing in my opinion!  I will definitely have to add one to my collection some day.

    WHY DO THEY NEVER LISTEN?!

I have long since learnt that you cannot change people's opinions.  They will do what they see fit and nothing more.   What you can do however is advise them of what you think to be the best course of action to take and maybe in the future, when their decision blows up in their face (and...

James Dyson: "The EU should spur invention, not mediocrity"

Reading that post has not done my blood pressure any good at all Chris, but I am glad I read it - simply because I now hate Mr. Dyson even more than before.   I don't say it often Nar, but I agree wholeheartedly with what you wrote and am glad you took the time to reply to the ad with your...

Here is a really good idea...?

Although I have heard of it, I have never had a "stale bag" smell, probably because I use vacuum freshener tabs, but come to think of it even when I don't I still don't smell anything. Maybe it is just me.

    Sad day for me :(

I'm sorry, but I can't understand why you are concerned about a vacuum cleaner when your parents are getting divorced. It would be the furthest thing from my mind to be honest.
