    Updated Numatic range

Certain new models also come with a 3 year warranty instead of the standard 2 year. These models are Henry Turbo, Henry Wet & Dry, Hetty Pet, Henry Reach and Henry / Hetty purchased with the optional ProKit. Having just bought the latest version of the Henry Xtra the ProKit is of no use to...

Karcher Puzzi 10/1 review - my first ever video review

LMFAO thanks for the compliment :) I may have to start making more video reviews - remembering not to "erm" so much!

Karcher Puzzi 10/1 review - my first ever video review

I've had this extraction machine for a good few months now and have been meaning to make a video review of it for a while as I am so impressed with it. When I was looking to buy this machine I spent quite a lot of time researching it as it was expensive at £430. Compared to the £200 Numatic...

I need help choosing a new vacuum

I agree with everything jade_angel has said. Very sound advice. I'd personally buy either the Miele or Sebo. I have a Miele C3 myself and it is a very nice machine.

    Felix being discontinued?

Interesting. Just had a quick Google of 'Felix Epower' and it seems a few paces are starting to stock them. Pricing is the same as the Felix Eco range and the machines look identical. Spec also seems to be the same. Possibly just a slight brand redesign so everything has the new Epower...

    Miele active airclean filter

Agreed. The charcoal filter does not contain a HEPA filter.

    Dyson Light Ball design fault

Prior to me buying my two current daily drivers to replace a faulty Kirby, I tried one of the new Dyson Light Ball machines. After two months of use a major design flaw became apparent. One day I noticed the brush roll was labouring and didn't turn very freely by hand. Upon closer inspection...

    Replaced my Kirby with....

Vacuumdevil - as I said, in some rooms, especially the bedrooms (carpeted) when vacuuming around the beds and in confined spaces I find an upright much nicer to use. Less cumbersome. As opposed to having a large power head, the hose trailing all over and then a unit on the floor behind you. For...

    Replaced my Kirby with....

I've just noticed how incredibly well the Miele colour matches the kitchen floor... its like they were made to be together LOL!!

    Replaced my Kirby with....

3 and a half years ago I bought a brand new Kirby Sentria II from my local Kirby dealer. It was only ever used lightly and was well looked after. At around two years old the power cable failed and needed to be replaced under warranty - internal breakage causing intermittent power supply...

    What's Your Favorite Bag Type?

In terms of pure quality it has to be the new HyClean bags from Miele. Superb filtration and no noticeable airflow loss even with a bag thats 95% full

    Dyson V7

I see Dyson have added another model to their cordless machines. The V7. The V7 has the same new dirt ejection system as the V8, but has the suction power of the V6. The V7 also seems to be lacking the HEPA exhaust filter that is included on the V8. Very much a middle of the road machine...

    Dyson V8 Animal

Glad you're happy with your V8 too blakaeg... I'm still very pleased with mine in terms of performance and build quality over the V6. I use mine a few times a week. Once a week I clean my car with it, I do a 'big' clean once a week with my Kirby and use the V8 to do the stairs and things to...

    HORRIBLE Kirby Distributor Experience!

I'd report that dealer to the Kirby head office. They'll soon sort them out

    Scary Vacuum Cleaners

Shortly after I was born my parents bought a Panasonic MCE43N. My mum used to leave the machine running by my cot on low power to help send me to sleep (maybe this is where my vacuum interest comes from??). I used to love this vacuum and as I grew up would play with / use it at every...

    Patience testing Kirby

Turns out when you replace the fan and all the associated washers and seals you should pack behind that little bugger with fresh grease. I've never had to do this on any other Kirby but as I'm quickly learning my Sentria likes everything done by the book. So once again I've had the bloody...

    Patience testing Kirby

So today.... I had a rather filthy car to clean - a family members car - mine gets a full clean once a week. Anyway it was pitted inside and was probably a bit too far gone to be using the Dyson V8 on it so I figured it was the perfect opportunity for me to put the Kirby through its paces and...

    Sebo X4 Concerning Sound

I believe it is a fault on the belts. I had an X4 pet boost machine do the exact same thing. Somebody that works for Sebo told me that it was something to do with the belts so before going down the warranty route I opened the machine up myself, checked all the teeth on both belts and also that...

    Some Kirby Questions

I agree. STOP using the machine till you have a rug plate for it. It won't be cleaning properly and you risk damaging / premature wear to both the brush roll and your flooring. As for lowering the height. Lower till the tone changes and then give it one more click down. I find if it doesn't...

    Patience testing Kirby

Bill Yes there was visible dust escape between the top of the fan chamber and headlight housing. When I removed the fan plate to apply the sealer there was also an amount of dust and fluff wedged between the two halves of the fan case at the top also. When I first cracked it open to fit the...
