    Convention

For the cleanup after the competition I couldn't resist trying out my new Dyson dc02 absolute (Thanks again Tom). Despite only running at half power, it picked up surprisingly well.

    Convention

My pictures... These are pictures that my mother and I took over the course of the convention. I'm going to try and organize them over a few posts.   First, here are some from the vacuum competitions.    Scott

Kleeneze Rotork Cyclon (or G-Force) Brushroll & Soleplate Needed.

Interesting, I didn't know thw G-force did have one. Judging by the pictures, there are more differences then I expected between the cyclon and the G-force. Scott

Kleeneze Rotork Cyclon (or G-Force) Brushroll & Soleplate Needed.

I could be wrong, but I think it doesn't actually have a bottom plate. Can't help you with the rest i'm afraid. Great find and good luck! Scott

1getting uk vacuums to the usa is it possible

I wish you best of luck! I had been toying with the idea of trying to import a few early dysons for my collection and it is difficult.    I really wish I had tried harder. There really aren't many machines I am specifically looking for anymore, aside from a nice dc01, 02, or 03. Seeing as I...

I have made my peace with James Dyson..........for now

Roger, I think you will really like that dc35. It's not their most powerful cordless anymore but they are great to use. We have a dc44 at the vac shop I work for, and although it started as a floor model, it quickly became the main machine used to clean the store. About two years later and its...

    DC59 Animal Complete ordered !

Glad you like it! I'm still over the moon with mine as well, I can safely say that it really does outperform many full sized uprights I have. Scott

    Dyson's new US lineup

I don't really like the removal of the numbers, at the repair shop I work for that's out main way of identifying dysons.   Another note, the new dc40, or ball multifloor, is actually just the dc65.   Scott

    Dyson clutch lifespan

The thing about dyson clutches is that alot of vac shops (in my experience) won't bother to repair them and will just replace them outright. At the store I work for however we often rebuild the clutches with new belts, etc (on out of warranty machines of course). In fact, I have several dysons...

    Miele S2-Any Concerns?

Good choice The titan is an exelent machine, we sell tons of them in my store and people seem to love them. The ony issues that come with it due to it's BOL status include a shorter cord, smaller bag chamber, and a plastic bristled dusting brush. Other than that it shares the same motor and...

Finally got a new vacuum, BUT......

Really, all I can say about the agitation is that the max has alot of long somewhat stiff brisles which do a really good job cleaning and grooming the carpet. The cyclone assembly comes partially apart with a twist lock and the rest of the way with a few screws. Far easier than most dyson...

Finally got a new vacuum, BUT......

I owned a hoover max for a couple of years, and I really liked it. For one thing, the cord and hose were both very long, it cleaned very well, and was overall easy to use. I can also say that it's multi cyclone system works better than hoover's dual cyclone systems, keeping it's filter cleaner...

New wool loop carpeting...need suitable canister type.

I think you will be very happy with your choice. And I agree about the s8 series, I really like them for the reasons you mentioned.   I don't know if Troy mentioned this or not, but we can match any online price for a Miele and we throw in an extra pack of bags or two with purchase. I'm glad...

    Stick vacuum needed....any suggestions?

Dirt Devil I can wouch for the corded Dirt Devil vac plus dust, since instaling hard floors in the majority of the house it has become one of my go to machines. The suction is perfectly adequate, the motor not too loud, the dust cup is a bit bigger than the swiffer, build quality seems fine and...

New wool loop carpeting...need suitable canister type.

Simplemind, As was mentioned above I work for Georgetown vacuum. We have had many customers looking for vacuums that can clean these new types of carpeting and have had alot of luck with the Miele canisters. We would be happy to show you all the different Miele models in person, explain the...

    Bissell Bolt

I completely agree, while I don't know about the bolt, I find my dirt devil lift-and-go just fine. Not nearly as bad as the made it out to be. Scott
