How to flock and de-flock a Christmas tree.

That’s really ‘flocking’ convenient! I’ve heard of this attachment before! Someone told me about the thing years ago, today so few vacuums have blower ports that you couldn’t really sell them now.

I was robbed, robbed I tell you

Yikes! Between the bidding and the insane prices, I don’t bother with anything on eBay unless it has the buy it now option! And that’s assuming the price isn’t ridiculous already...

What is the worst vacuum from the past 20-ish years?

Euro Pro/Shark. They don’t even offer parts for repairs!

Question about a Royal Tank gray 4150

Here is a picture of mine, I do have the whole thing, even though not all is shown here.

Making the ds50 a bit more modern

If I could get my hands on one of the newer style 3D printers that print solid plastic parts, I could have loads of fun printing up bag adapters for all kinds of machines, so one could install the adapter and then just use a modern, easy to find bag in a machine where bags are not made anymore.

    Kirby Deluxe- what is it?

I truly love those old GE uprights! I’ve seen lots of vintage machines with the wrong bag attached, some took more creativity than others to get to work... Drives me nuts! I’m not dead set on machines being 100% correct, but I expect them to at least look like it. I’m not generally particular...

Question about a Royal Tank gray 4150

Those Royal commercial tanks are actually fairly rare, I would personally suggest leaving it as is, as that cord is part of what made that machine unique.

    WoW, People really are stupid

Intelligence and education are two different things. I’ve seen it time and time again, someone comes into the store with what was a simple problem at first, but then they messed with it, but they’re an engineer... My personal favorite was an idiot that bought a reconditioned typewriter from us...

    Kirby Deluxe- what is it?

I’d venture a bet that bag isn’t securely attached! The Kirby bag bottom opening is much larger than the NSS one.

    Need Assistance in Diagnosing D80

I think you’re wiring the power switch wrong. I see green wire in the black wire spot and vice versa... Here is a picture based on the labeling of the switch.

Hoover Air Revolve Canister Vacuum - $34.99...

I couldn’t pass up that $9.50 price! You just know they’re losing plenty of money on this deal! Will share my thoughts once I get the thing!

My New Upright Bagged Vacuum w/ Pics

Definitely B bags! These, like the 7000/8000 series Tacony machines, have the larger bag chamber, the A bag will be kinda small in this machine!

    Electrolux Velocity

I know that machine as a Eureka Maxima ( I always called it the Minima). Definitely don't see as many as I used to... Thankfully!

Newest Shark Apex ZeroM power head Vacuum can it Cent. Vac?

At least on carpet, I don't generally find the P/N pushes larger things around, my Riccar P/N has always eaten everything!

    Rainbow D2 Brushroll Help

Those P/Ns are Eureka made units. Personally I'd recommend getting a Eureka VG1 (flat, helical shaped aluminum brush roll) from another P/N and using that instead of the wood one. Those black painted have oversized black ends, I've seen them put too much strain on the housing and break things.

    Hotel vacuums.

!!CAUTION!! Flapitation in progress, watch for hose! Personally I feel the central vac is a more ideal solution. Just imagine how much it costs to maintain and replace portables, bags, filters, belts, brush rolls, cords... All of that can be eliminated so easily. One big dirt bucket to empty...

Does anyone have a diy recipie for kirby shampoo?

Oh, hold the line, the brine isn’t always on time... Smells like the spirit of 76...

    Vacuum lines on carpet

I like to make all the lines aim one way with the nap all pulled straight up, so you don't see the forward lines, just the backward strokes. I love playing "guess the vacuum" based on the carpet lines. I'm quite good at it too!

Should I sale my Rainbow or keep it?

I have both Kirbys and Rainbows as well. I have an E2 Black, but my newest Kirby is a G6. I like both, I'd probably choose the Rainbow, largely because I tend to lean more canister than upright despite liking both. That and I don't tend to use Kirby attachments, I'll either wait till I use a...
