    FRANKLIN SUPREME Redux

All the charm and design provenance of a garbage can. lol That is a fascinating little cleaner. I suspect it probably was sold as a budget model due to not being so flashy and stylish. Or maybe for commercial use in an office. Very cool unit, probably the only one that will be seen here for...

    Hoover pre-war rubber bumper/protectors

As long as you advertise it where people can find it, I think there would be a demand. When people here were were making Kirby bags, they sold out virtually overnight, and people still ask about them 6+ years onward who is making one (nobody is anymore). Maybe make 10 and then see how they go...

    Dirt Devil of present times.

Dirt Devil actually went bankrupt during COVID and got put up for the chopping block. The employees resented this and did everything they could to make sure the company stayed intact, not moved to china, and they all got to keep their jobs in the same location. Guess what? It worked. The new...

Has anyone ever tried doing this with a Shop Vac?

Moronic video that is commonplace with YouTube mechanics that have absolutely zero skill or knowledge at repairing anything. The motor is destroyed and that jerry rigged fix does nothing but make it worse. You have to know about how to properly repair things before looking on youtube. people...

    What's wrong with this picture?

They probably found it at Goodwill like that and flipped it just the way they found it. Goodwill is known for conjoining vacuum parts they get that get jumbled up in the bins.

Seeking Info on GenVac Handheld Model 8227

People really need to quit doing this. This is why everyone hates giving out information on here. People join that are scalpers, get told its rare, then flip it on eBay for a 5 figure sum of money as soon as they get the first comment.

    Buffing Kirby's

Also for anyone that wants to do this yourself, HooverLux and VacLab both have great videos on how to do it.

    my regina Housekeeper

Maybe 30 years ago. Now they are highly collectible. One just sold on eBay for $250 a few months back. I've never seen one myself in all my years of collecting. I only have two Regina vacuums in my collection. The hand vac, and the stick vac that is exceptionally rare.

Looking for pre-war 1920's Hoover Coffee Can Bags

Wasn't Kyle making replica bags as well?

(2007) Bissell Lightweight model 3120 compact vacuum.

"Clean Broom Electric Co." who in the hell is that ? This was clearly some odd outsourced job for Bissell they must have hired because they didn't have the tooling. I swear I seen this vacuum shape before but I can't place it. A Dirt Devil maybe?

I need some help on the motor for the old Bissell powerclean/ pure air machine

I forgot to write it in my post, the specific name for the special tool used to press or pull apart ball-bearings is called an "Arbor Press". The one in this photo found in google can put down 3 tons of force on any poor hapless part that comes under its ratchet.

I need some help on the motor for the old Bissell powerclean/ pure air machine

A bearing puller/presser would be needed in this situation. These are assembled with pressurized machinery, so you need to have a lot of strength exerted on the parts to get them on. A human simply is not capable of the force needed to push it on evenly. You can get good results by crafting a...

Oh good for him, glad it didn't get sucked into "the horde" that I keep hearing about.

Have one more screw to remove on a Classic-style Kirby fancase and the head is stripped? Try this

Old timer trick is to hammer the screwdriver with a mallet once you set the bit in the screw, and the impact will break loose any rust sticking the screw down. Another alternative is a cordless screwdriver with a high torque (NOT a power drill) Also a ratcheting screwdriver with a large...

    (1960s) General Electric floor buffer.

I would have, the brushes on that one are in better shape than the first one you bought.

    really ??

I aim for concours restorations, so everything has to be correct down to the last screw. I will install temporary parts that fit, but are incorrect, as placeholders until the actual part is found (takes years). 7 years on the Hunt for a Hoover Z400/700 series access door.

Stunning New in Box Eureka MobileAire on Ebay

Sold for $505. The color difference on the wheels is the lighting in the photos, and based on the packaging material stuck to the vacuum I'd say the original box got water damaged or moldy and was thrown out.

    really ??

Some months back someone put up about 8 different generations of Kirby bags. $70 - $100 each. They sold within 5 days, all of them.

For sale! Tools and a hose for a Hoover model 475

The shipping label on the box is unique, as most vacuum sales then were door to door. But if the hose is stiff curled up like that, just leave it alone. This would be good as parts to complete someone's missing tool kit and that's about all. You can recoat the hose lining with new rubber if...
