@dustin That's a pretty solid choice especially in the limited price range you mentioned.

Anytime I've seen these things at trade shows they've always felt cheap and poorly constructed. Even compared to some of the tacony products.

@mattinla Yes the board that screwed directly to the side of the motor. You'll need to find a donor machine or a New old stock since they haven't been sold for about 10 years.

Panasonic manufactured almost every brushd motor for Dyson. Dyson's DC "digital motor" are currently manufactured by them in their Malaysian facility.

Generally it's the motor control board. Test the output with the meter and find out what happens.

Now that's interesting! It reminds me of a Philips that's been rebranded.

Might be unorthodox. But this is the exact reason canisters exist take the motor out of your hand and put it on the floor where it belongs.
