    Carbon brushes are a touch low, but they still do have a fair bit of life left in them. I'll moat likely replace them at the same time as the bearing. Anyway, why she appears to have been serviced ~ Hardly any carbon dust around the motor, for me this kind of indicates its been disturbed...

    The date Please correct me if I'm wrong! 89410 - 8 being the branch no./factory it was made in, 94 = 1994, 10 = October.

    Showing some of the corrosion, the corrosion om the wheel axle was cleaned up with a wire brush. Showing the grime built up, and brushroll all dismantled.

    So, I got her off the land of ebay for £43.00 ($56.05) and £14.99 ($19.95) A bit more than I wanted to pay but meh, I've been wanting one for a while ao why not? The only work needed was - The typical strip, wash, bearing grease and reconstruct, also a new bulb, which the seller did state, but...

    The only shots I bothered to take of the motor. I didn't want to clean up the commy and possibly make matters worse due to the damage thats already there. Also there's this weired melted spot on the coil. It's also on both sides. Is it supposed to be there? Never seen a motor with it before.

    And now onto the after shots. After her nice, hot, zesty lemon bath, and cold shower, shes laid out to dry. The hoses however were hung on the washing line for several days to help dry them.

    Few motor shots. Didn't think to take any while servicing the motor. Unfortunately the commy doesn't look as good as it does in the photo. It has copper drag, bar burning and threading. Tis' also a replacement motor. Odd that it was only replaced after 4 years. Must of received alot of abuse...
