I am kinda thinking of a Brand New Vacuum.

Andy, the Lux is one of my favorite looking uprights. It looks to be at peace and it is special to me as my aunt had a Discovery II growing up. Your cleaning needs would not be met with that upright, though. The suction motor is significantly smaller than a full sized canister vac's motor...

    need help!

The powerhead is fairly basic. Take the two screws off of the bottom (located on the metal plate). The cover should lift off. Remove the bottom plate and brush roller. Clean off the metal bearings on either end. Re-install brushroll with new belt on shaft, place bottom plate back on the...

Royal Household Line (not DD or metal Royal)

Greetings everyone. As we continuously expand our lines in the store, I'm always looking for new machines from our existing suppliers that we carry. We carry most of the Royal line (Lexon canister, extractor, sMetal uprights, commercial machines) but have not ordered the two lower end uprights...

    Dyson DC07 without a clutch?

Sadly, all of the DC07 models that I have seen (and I've seen a lot) have had the dreaded clutch.

    Heritage II Nozzle Puzzle

The upper foot switch screw, take it all the way out- the bottom one, just retract about 3/4 of the way, its a heck of a lot easier to put back together.

    back pack vacuums...

We sell a ton of the Royal backpacks to restaurants- they work great for polished concrete, bare floors, and other bare floor settings. In terms of being used on carpet- we would not even offer one as an option when consulting a commercial client. Without a powernozzle, it will not be as...

    Vacuum Copycats...

As far as I know, all three machines are the same. There is a 5' difference in the cord length on the Royal and Hoover. The only thing they change is the color of the front bag and upper lid housing.

    Vacuum Copycats...

You are correct about TTI. They cross over a number of models between Hoover and Royal. Some Dirt Devils are even turned into a Royal "commercial" line. As for Aerus' former design on the signature- I talked to our only Aerus store, about 20 minutes from our store in Columbia and compared...

    why it doing this.

Here's another possible reason that hasn't been mentioned. Check the wear on the rear wheels- those quickly wear down if a former user buried the head in the carpet constantly.

Help Please with my Ultralux Classic Model 1521

Try buying the part at your local vacuum shop or one nearby. Every dollar that you spend online leaves your local economy and never returns. Not to mention, you ensure that you get a good, decent part and lots of knowledge from experts. Sun Valley Sew n' Vac is in Gilbert...

I've Welcome The Garry Into Our Household

The Garry is similar in design to the Tacony lightweights, but there is absolutely no comparison with the quality of the Riccar or Simplicity machine. I do know that there is one lightweight machine out there that is made by Tacony for another company. It was mentioned on the forum awhile back.

I guess in order not to offend you "experts" anymore, I have requested to be removed from the forum. Any of my friends on here can contact me via email or facebook.

    Oreck stores.

The addition of Miele is equivalent to the final gasps before the death of the Oreck store. They are desperate to do anything to save their life. In reality, its just another vegetable on life support. Unfortunately, MOST (not all) Oreck store staff has no clue about anything other than...
