I go to lots of estate sales. In fact, I went to one on Friday that had a central vac. Every home I’ve been to that has a central vac, always has another upright or canister. Why is that? Just an observation.

In my opinion Bravos were a cheap Elite copy. Not many collectors like them. The Excalibur is bulky and has weak tool suction from my experience. The standard F&G platform was and is the still the best from Eureka.

I have several of those and have never had that issue. Did you disassemble the hood and check the hose? Sounds like bvac6 is right. 1486 A Here is a new one to me.. model 1486.. the color is really attractive. Almost a turquoise blue. I can't find much info on this model. I assume late 80 is when it was made?

In 1985, the year I was born. My relatives were not using new vacuums. The exception being my mother and great-grandmother who were using Hoover Convertibles that were fairly recent for the time. (see post above). Even though I'm not yet 40. I'm so thankful I wasn't born in the cheap Walmart...
