    Elux-O-Matic

Thanks, to all those who responded. I ended up repainting the floor brush. I am STILL debating if to repaint the whole machine or even parts. There will be so much, to tape up and there is the fine white paint writing on the unit. If I do repaint, I will post a final picture. If not...

    closure final...

You will be missed, by, me. I used to take it personally when guys were rude, or even when my posts were completely ignored. I am sure there was no concerted effort to ignore my posts. But the rudeness...? To react was giving those guys, power they don't deserve. I loved your posts about...

    What do you think?

Unexpected, Ending. The Seller admitted they missed that, is refunding my purchase. And wished me a happy holiday. But I was wondering if there is such a thing as hepa filters made of paper.

    What do you think?

So, I just bought some Eureka style vacuum bags on Ebay. The seller stated in his AD that they were: "Hepa" and in the description below, under material, "fabric". What I got was paper, when I expected some woven synthetic material. Am I wrong or tricked?

    Dutchtech motor

Yes, I saw that, I will say he blocked his work during some of the video. I think I have a plan now. The rear motor stabilizer from my parts machine, is different from the one I found on Ebay. Looks like there may have been a different motor used instead of the one I originally had. The...

    Dutchtech motor

Brian, you may be right. I actually ordered Menalux hepa cloth bags from Norway just so I would have readymade cloth bags. Took 2 weeks. I'll look on their website just for kicks. Cheers.

    Dutchtech motor

Devin, you are a genius! That is it! I don't have a Nilfisk motor. Why in the world did I through the old motor out before making a note of the specs. Based on the prices I have seen for Nilfisk, the motor may be more expensive than to buy another Dutchtech. Thanks, I appreciate you!

    Dutchtech motor

I was wanting to explore substituting a different/similar motor from my extras, for a burned-out original Oreck Dutchtech DTX1400 motor. Anyone have any thoughts/tips/suggestions? The original motor mount hardware seems specific to the Oreck motor. I am guessing whatever I do, I have to...

    Electrolux PN-1 tune up

Magic eracer, I tried using that but found it disintegrated shortly after started to use it. That is why I switched to alcohol and a terry rag or non-stick pan scrubber.

    Electrolux PN-1 tune up

I agree, Chris, Looks great. I have used 0000 steel wool for this purpose and for smoothing out battle damage on plastic vacs before hitting them with a coat of gloss clear. Combined with 91% alcohol, you can remove a lot of base board grazes and discolorations. For mild scrapes I use a...

Thanks Jimmy, My bud has a clip he said he uses once the cord is pulled out, to keep it out.

    Singer Upright question

I just got older upright with a cord reel/retract and the cord will not stay out. Are they supposed to or are they designed for you to pull it out and hook it in the snug crevice of the upper hook? Also, if they are like those on an Electrolux canister, it there something wrong inside that is...

    Nilco 220 S Trash Find

I like it. Personally, I like the looks of it. best of luck. Please keep us informed. Chris, I know exactly what you mean about sinking money into a machine to get it back to working condition. More than once, I could have bought a complete and working model for less, than I spent restoring...
