Isn't this a pretty rare Royal?

Damn it, the week I didn't check, one of those pops up. I've been looking for one forever. I want one so badly, especially one with the really unique powerhead. Someone got got a deal on that.

    "Light weight" Vacuum for Grandma?

I don't mean to contradict you, but I would NOT recommend the new platinum Hoovers. Although their warranties are great, the motors are really poorly made and there are a lot of sensors and circuits to go wrong. We've seen a lot of them in for repair with blown boards and shorted motors- I'm...

    Eureka F&G upright problems

Wow, that's totally my bad. I'm so used to seeing the higher-amp motors, which take the larger fan (clear). I totally spaced. Sorry. You need the black fan. They're so cheap, I'd be happy to send you one (on me), but I won't be at work for a few days.

    Air-Way Model 55 restoration guidance

Wow, IMHO the original hose is butt ugly compared to what is on it right now. That blueish-grey matches the vacuum a lot better.

    What the ...??

Since when do they still make the vision? I thought that thing was discontinued.

What condition is the belt pulley in? If it's getting thin, belts will heat up and break quickly.

    It's shiny!

I picked up this old GE canister at a thrift store today. I don't really have the room but I couldn't resist since it seemed well made and it's so shiny! The hose is in great shape, and it has some of the attachments, too. The box is in fair shape considering its age, and it has the manual...

    Exhaust direction on canister vacs

Yep, you're absolutely right. You've got to use the HEPA J bags in the PowerTanks. The regular paper bags will actually rip on occasion if they have stuff in them with the suction. Royal wasn't messing around with these things- that's why I like them so much. They're one of the most powerful...

    Exhaust direction on canister vacs

Haha I second that. I have a fleet of the PowerTanks and they'll blow up the corners of rugs and blow dust everywhere if you're not careful. Heck, they send out such a powerful jet of air they often lurch forward a few inches when I turn them on.

    Royal Powercast

We're closed on Monday so the earliest I could ship you one is Tuesday... you might want to see if someone else could get you one faster. The Powercasts seem to clean fairly well when they're not broken, but I'll bet the Kirby will do better. That's mighty fair of you to make sure the oponent...

    Royal Powercast

I think you should be able to find those at any well-stocked vacuum store. We have a bunch of those cogged belts.

All White Special Edition Ultra Silencer Canister.....

Wow is right. That thing will look dingy and gross so fast. If you want an all white vacuum, just break out the spray paint. I honestly thought the guy had painted it for a sec. No offense to anyone, it just doesn't float my boat.
