The brand new Titan T8000 canister

Interesting. I thought the CT14DX had ended production. But that's the power nozzle they are using. Just with an updated headlight lense.

Rexair Rainbow trademarks SRX name - could new machine be coming very soon?

Agreed. The rainbow is a very nice vacuum and of good quality. But so is my Miele Marin that I got for less than 1/3 the price of a rainbow. Sure my Miele can't shampoo carpets but $3000 pays for a lot of professional carpet cleanings. And when it comes down to it, my house probably wouldn't be...

    My New Rainbow SRX 🌈

Seeing as how there are instructions for replacing the belt, I take it the new power nozzle isn't equipped with a geared belt? A geared belt shouldn't ever have be replaced. A shame they would regress back to a stretch belt when they finally saw the light and moved the belt to the side and put...

Reddit seems biased on vacuum sections.

Yeah I wouldn't put too much time into Reddit. They seem to like cheap plastic stuff that belches dust and have ear piercing motors.

Rexair Rainbow trademarks SRX name - could new machine be coming very soon?

Yeah there is just so much evidence that points to them as being unethical. No discount for previous model Trying to suppress information on new model Something like a three day return policy You don't actually get a new vacuum. It's been used in multiple demos. Hard pressured for new leads I...

Why I think canisters aren't popular in United States anymore

Agreed. It's much easier getting a power nozzle under and around furniture. One step of the quick release and you are able to suck up anything high or low. Then back to the carpet. They also take up less space to store. A Miele canister can be stored inside a cabinet if needed. Just collapse the...

    Next Kirby?

Why not just go back to the Heritage style? It was light enough and no one seemed to complain about pushing and pulling it. The tech drive always seemed unnecessary to me. Without the extra weight of that transmission it wouldn't be needed. Just give it some modern styling, remove the hose...

Rivstg1 The interior of a crushproof hose is smoother the inside of a wire-reinforced house. Less resistance = better airflow. This is a good example.

They could gain airflow by switching to a crushproof hose but it doesn't look like they did from watching the video. So many missed opportunities with this "upgrade".

Rexair Rainbow trademarks SRX name - could new machine be coming very soon?

I agree Blackheart. Why would they put the belt in the middle of the air path? Not only does it reduce the surface area of the brush but it impedes airflow. Not to mention all of that dirt and debris will quickly wear down the belt. The belt needs to be on the side where it is out of the way of...

    Electrolux/Aerus CentraLux Central Vacuum Inlets

Thanks for the info countryguy. I love the classic Electrolux attachments too. Do you think it would be possible to buy a centralux hose and put the Lux Classic pistol grip handle on it?

    Electrolux/Aerus CentraLux Central Vacuum Inlets

There seems to be very little information on Electrolux (pre-Aerus) central vacuums. I have never seen a photo of the tool kits prior to the gas pump style hose and plastic wands. When did Electrolux start offering central vacuums? Was the hose vinyl or was it the woven material like the Silverado?

    Improving VacuFlo Central Vac Filtration

You could fit a large HEPA bag over the exhaust. The large surface area would prevent a loss of performance.

    Maytag M700 Lifetime Belt

I have one of the older Riccar canisters. The power nozzle has a lifetime belt. I guess if it ever breaks I will know not to go asking them to replace it. What's the difference between these belts and the geared belts that my Miele and Electrolux canisters use? I've never had a geared belt...

Rexair Rainbow trademarks SRX name - could new machine be coming very soon?

The current power nozzle has the belt on the side where it should be. The first version of the power nozzle for the current rainbow had it in the center. Moving it to the side was a big improvement. I'm hoping the new power nozzle keeps the belt on the side. Otherwise I will pass. They should...

    New model rainbow

Well on direct air vacuums like Kirby, Sanitaire, etc there isn't any other option except to use a stretch belt in the center of the brushroll since that's where the fan is located. All those companies do is extend the motor shaft to attach the belt. No one should have to worry about changing...

    New model rainbow

So they moved the belt back to the center of the power nozzle? What were they thinking? No high quality power nozzles have stretch belts nor do they put them in the middle of the air path. Even the Kenmore power nozzles have geared belts.

    New model rainbow

Still no crushproof hose? That would help to improve airflow. No telescoping wand? And an expensive vacuum like this should come with two sets of Wanda. One for power nozzle and one for floor tool. The power nozzle looks kind of flimsy but I'll wait to see it in person. And it needs to have...
