    Kirby Bag Pattern

Ben is exactly right. There is a Sanitronic on eBay, I believe that has the round Kirby logo on the belt lifter and the bag, but it has a Dual 50 bag on it. The machine is in nice shape, looks completely original. Hey Ben, have you ever taken an unused old grey Kirby belt and turn it inside out...

What vacuums have you seen in movies?

Jo, Did you realize in the movie the Help there was actually 4 different vacuums pictured? One vacuum was the Electrolux Olympia with a standard hose and looks like a model 30 upholstery nozzle, the second was another Electrolux, you can't really tell the model, it could be a Model AE, AF or G...

VacuMaid Central Vacuum Inlet Valve Mounting Bracket

I am so sorry for saying they are cheap, we all have our preferences in what we like. They have been a standard of the industry for many years being used as mostly a universal type valve. The metal Beam style valves are better than their plastic counterpart. I have been in the floor care...

    Vintage Hose Ends Removal

Louis, usually you can soften the glue by putting the hose cuff under hot running water, if you use a heat guy it could melt the cuff, hot water is safer of if you have an electric steamer, that will work too. I hope you are well, stay safe.

VacuMaid Central Vacuum Inlet Valve Mounting Bracket

Those MD inlets are cheap replacement valves, they used to be manufactured by Beam and were a universal valve. The Original VacuMaid valve is quality. I personally like original VacuFlo valves, thats what I have installed in my home.

VacuMaid Central Vacuum Inlet Valve Mounting Bracket

That is not a Vacu Maid inlet, Vacu Maid inlets are have full rectangular doors on them. This valve is from an old Flo Lite, or a very early VacuFlo, or possibly a Vacu Magic. There is no mounting brackets that are currently sold that will work with this. If you want a retro look, use original...

    PullMan Central Vac

The opening that you are talking about is the exhaust from the motor, air coming out from there is normal. First thing to check is the suction on the unit, remove the grey 2" tubing from the side of the unit, turn it on, see how the suction is there. If there is strong suction, you possibly have...

    Kirby 180156 Metal Insert Sleeve?

Ben, it is actually the sani emptor adaptor, if you look at a sani emptor, the outside casing is aluminum, the part that twists onto the vacuum is steel. I remember on some of the Omega's the glue was inefficient and the adapter would come off the sani emptor. The inside of the sani emptor had a...

    Hoover Convertible Brush Seating Stone

When I had my vacuum store I took an old top bearing plate and drilled a large hole in it, you remove the motors bearing plate and cooling fan, install the drilled bearing plate, turn on the motor and chalk the motor, you need to do it this way to both clean the armature and it gets the proper...
