I hope this Compact
Has a power nozzle outlet. I was looking on eBay for the rest of the attachments. Wow are they expensive. Can anyone tell from the picture what model it is? Any info is greatly appreciated.

My experience has been
When a Kirby runs hot like that, it's usually the field coil that is bad. To make it worse, when the field goes, it usually takes the armature with it. The parts are still available, and I personally would replace both.

I've had kirby vacuums
Do the same thing, and it turned out the field coil was bad. I've also found that when the field goes bad, it usually takes the armature with it. Hope this helps.

I actually sold that when it was new
It came out with the Heritage 1-HD. It only lasted one model and by the time the Heritage II came out it was history.

That switch
put the machine in "delicate mode" so you could vacuum more delicate floor coverings without damage. In effect, that switch made the Diamond Edition a 4 speed machine. Two speeds in normal mode and two different speeds in delicate mode. I questioned the Kirby Company about them...
I found these
On eBay. You could also try a local vac shup. They probably will have some or can get them.

That is so awesome!
As soon as you let me know the amount, I'll send you the money. I have a Model XXX that I needed attachments for and Tania (Airwaylady), sent me a complete set for it. Now my Lux collection will be complete. Thanks again Jason. I truly appreciate it.

If that macine has a power nozzle
I have a D2 that looks like that one and it does not have a socket for a power nozzle. I used to have another one that did and it had a 3 prong socket and a rebadged Eureka power nozzle.
Hey everyone,
A lot of my friends have Dyson vacuums, all DC 07 and DC 14 models. One of the DC14 clutches went bad and I volunteered to fix it. I bought the new clutch, as well as the tools needed and went to work. What a pain in the tushka! I watched a YouTube video before starting and it...
I'd be leery of them
That price for the Sentria II is too good to be true. How well do you know the person selling them? They could be stolen, in which case you'd be receiving stolen property. If it is legit, that is a steal for the Sentria II. True, it won't have any warranty from Kirby...
I may have found some
I did a web search (again) and found this. I'm gonna order a few and see what they are like.

As Ben and I have discovered
Those belts are rarer than hens teeth. We've both contacted the factory and they were discontinued a long time ago. I have four kirby dealers nearby and none of them have any. I'm currently trying to find a suitable substitute. If I find any (genuine or sub) you...
