Simplicity Gusto vs. Miele S8 Uniq

By the looks of those pictures, and I have good eye sight... The Miele Silver Moon clearly looks like it picked up more fine dirt. But pretty close.

Help me buy a vacuum- rainbow

The Sirena v Rainbow Yes new rainbows seem very overpriced, do not own one, but $2,000+ for a vacuum is a bit silly. This is the first time I am hearing about the Sirena. It looks neat, but I question the length of the hose and I do not like that exposed power cord on the wand. It probably...

My New Aerus Vacuums - Part 2

pr-21 I have had my issues with Aerus and customer service as well. Fact is they are not what they used to be (that coming from an Aerus 20 year salesperson that happens to be my friends father). They still haven't figured out how to market Aerus properly and continue to use ELELCTROLUX to...

Any Word on NEW Riccar Canister? (getting close to end of year)

I don't believe there is such a thing as a new redesigned model for the Simplicity or Riccar canister lines for this year. The last check they are promoting the top of line American made units. If anything Tacony is still focusing on bringing their low and mid canister lines to production in the...

    Door to Door canister comparison

Dysonman1 Do you know what percentage of dirt the Aerus Guardian Upright (recent model) picks up? I own this model, and is this a good machine? Also, how come the Tacony Uprights are so loud compared to the Miele brand uprights.

Miele Cat and Dog Vs Riccar Vibrance

I do not own either, but have used both several times... The Miele uprights are really good. They are solid, quiet and easy to use with the pull and go retractable wand that features a 12 foot hose I believe. You can also adjust the suction, which most uprights do not have that feature. It can...

    Miele UniQ

Interesting points... I have dealers in my area that mostly push and sell Miele. Then there is one dealer down from two that sells the Simplicity line, he told me that customers try out the Simplicities and Miele's, and an overwhelming majority buy the Miele. Its quieter, maneuvers easier, and...

    Miele UniQ

Going points, either are good, seems they both picked up equally for the most part.

Point me in the right direction, please

I have never seen one priced that low, maybe out in the mid-west or a rural location. Actually most dealers I have visited, do not even carry the whole line up and the low models.

Which Vacuum Would Be Best for my School?

My observations over time, its seems most hotels, schools and hospitals are using: Oreck, Sebo/Windsor or Sanitaire vacuums. They seem to be the most durable for commercial use. Gyms and fitness centers, Pro Team seems to be common.

Point me in the right direction, please

A Simplicity or Riccar is just as expensive as the Lux... What model of this brand is under $400? Maybe the little Jill and Jack canisters for $299. A bagged vacuum that is durable under $400 and an upright? Panasonic or Fuller Brush Upright, Oreck if you don't mind not having on-board tools...

What happened to the "new" Aerus Upright?

Yes it does leak exhaust air, its only 94% filtered air coming out by the base hose-pre-HEPA filter, but at $700+ it shouldn't do that. I got no resolution from both the salesperson and company....that should say something about them!:-/ I feel its still a good machine, but not worth the money.

What happened to the "new" Aerus Upright?

The Guardian Upright which I have owned for two years now, some minor refinements would be nice, but overall is a simple solid performer. I would like to see the company promote and market itself better. It does offer one of the best warranties of any brand available.

What happened to the "new" Aerus Upright?

Waiting for Aerus to come out with new products/models is like waiting for Jesus! There is no new upright coming out as I was told by the store owner in my area. He said he would let me know. They have a new air purifier and the Platinum canister that's about it. Its still a good brand, but...

    Help, Vacuum advice wanted

Good luck, try a few of them out and see what you like. Don't get hung up in these forums too much. People tend to be helpful but biased on what they like and think everyone should have. I mentioned most of the top brands. A canister is what you said you were looking for as well.
