    TTI and Royal

    Speaking of TTI's craziness... While out shopping yesterday, I spotted a "new" Hoover Steamvac high up on the shelf at London Drugs... This one was a Dirt Devil Easy Steamer rebranded as a Hoover.

    Samsung and Sharp Vacs in North America

    As far as I am aware, Sharp got out of the vacuum business altogether. Sanyo is apparently getting out of it, as well... Samsung vacuums are still available in Canada. They are distributed through Hibbert Wholesale for sale to independant vacuum stores... See the following link for their...

    Reason to own a FQ pt 2

    While the Filter Queen is a great vacuum, the new ones leave a lot to be desired over models that were out prior to the 75th anniversary edition. According to the specifications sheet for the 360, the single-stage Ametek motor while in operation at high speed (30,400 RPM) creates 100 CFM. In...

    +++ AutoCare +++

    New Royal Plastic Canisters

    Royal RY3050. The vacuum itself is quite nice... It is very decent for a cheap canister, and its two-stage Ametek Shanghai motor provides a lot of suction. However, this machine is the plagued with hose issues. We ordered a whole crate of these machines about two years ago. Since then, most...

    Delta

    Those vacuums are made by Centaur, a Canadian cleaning equipment manufacturer. I assume these are the private label versions for sale in the US. http://www.centaurmachines.com/

    Guess what I discovered today.

    The canister that is sold at Canadian Tire is the S518 (Yellow Star). This model comes standard with the Active HEPA and the SEB217 powerhead. Coincidentally, the S518 is also sold at The Bay... For the S518 and 514, Miele shipped the old forms to China once the S4 and S5 series began...

    That machine is a Lindhaus Diamante manufactured to Tennant's specifications. You will probably have more luck finding those attachments at a Lindhaus dealer.

    German Electrolux Canister on eBay

    This machine is sold in North America as the Nilfisk (Euroclean) GD 930. A commercial vacuum often used in asbestos removal due to its sealed HEPA filtration. I believe the machine is made by Karcher in Germany, and stenciled under a couple different brands...

    Electrolux AP-280

    I am not positive, but I believe that the AP280 was made between 1982 and 1984... The AP series are what led to the 2100 series and its variances (the true first was the E2000), as internally they are almost identical (though the AP's use a two-stage motor), and they do infact open up the same...

    The Electrolux Volta ? anyone heard of or seen.
