A mass of modern vacs going cheap...

I think a lot of brand new items should come with a "buyer beware" note, especially if they're made using cheap labour in far eastern communistic countries that couldn't care less... :S Still, for those who buy returns from clearance stores (a lot I looked at stated they were manufacturer...

    The Cardboard Vax!

A mass of modern vacs going cheap...

I'm not into modern vacs at all, I'm just looking at them purely thinking of money making, cos at £35 for a whole vac that could potentially be sold for £70 (look for the Vax Mach 3 on ebay), that's some profit there... :P

    The Cardboard Vax!

With the way things are going in the financial world, lots of people on this earth of ours will be living in cardboard houses too... :P

Using a Kirby To Clean Your Computer?

Yep, I did it in suck-mode though, using a paintbrush and holding the nozzle a few inches away, so it would not pull any parts of the motherboard, worked well and the computer lived until it was dismantled for upgrades... :)

A mass of modern vacs going cheap...

For once, I actually agree with you, the Vac Mach series vacs were selling at half their catalogue price, and from what I could see of most of them, they were fine, so you could go in there, buy a couple, sell them for maybe 40% more than you paid, and there you have instant profit... It is...

A mass of modern vacs going cheap...

Well, yesterday, I found something new (to me), a clearance store in Stanley (Co. Durham), and once I finally got round to the vacs, they had loads of them!! Various bagless Vax models, a stack of Dyson DC22s, some Panasonic uprights, Nilfisk Wet & Dry tub vacs, a row of Miele S7s, and a load of...

Do manufacturer made belts REALLY last longer ?

I've been using generic poly. bags in my Miele, and they're not leaving the same "skidmarks" on the base of the bag chamber like the genuine FJM one did that I bought after using up the generics that came with the vac when I got it... I try to use genuine parts for vacs I care for, but there...

    Got it for free

That reminds me, need to get a couple of psarebelts for my Kirby Vacuette, the one it has in there has given up, but not bad service for a belt that was too stretched for a Dirt Devil handy vac though... :)

Is there a recommended time limit for Vacuum Cleaner usage ?

"is a little bit confusing" No it isn't, you just don't understand it... As you say, taking a Junior as the basis for this, yes, dirt goes through the main fan, well done for being observant. But, what you're missing is that the air that goes through the motor is not part of the dust path, it...

    discolored motor brushers

To be honest, the picture isn't clear enough to show the discolouration, try photographing them under a desklamp to provide better light for the camera, that should help... :) There's a few causes for a motor to start and stop, it could be a broken wire in the cable where it enters the vacuum...

    my tristar

"Does that mean that my 2007 Henry has a Two-Stage motor Could do, it was a relatively recent alteration they made, so yeah, you might have the same motor... :) I've never owned anything from Numatic, so I don't know what they're like on the inside... :&#92

    my tristar

"The motor was toasted." I do hope you fixed it, my CXL had no motor, and I got it running perfectly with a motor that was apparently for a Henry... :) The motor I got (well, motors, cos I bought two!!) are ametek clones, and have tapered fins, so they massively improved the thing according to...
