Good news, I got my new valve, put it back in place and it now has hose suction! It's not super strong but it's still good suction.

I found a valve replacement on ezvacuums com.

Kirbyclassiciii, the videos you sent me did helped. I did went a little deep by taking apart the rest of the motor and put everything back in place.

I took apart the motor a bit more and played with it and put it back in place. The fan is not scraping and dinging now.😁😉👍 So I can now use attachments! If it has any problems again I'll give y'all a shout-out. Thank y'all.

Madman, it still moves when I pull the pulley. After I put all the parts back in place. It might need a new armature.

Misaligned bearings? That means I have to replace the armature or bearings? I've never repaired a royal vac before.

So I'm taking apart the motor from my Royal model 606 so I can try to fix the problem with the fan scraping on the metal so I can use attachments with it. And I'm looking at the armature, does this look normal? It looks like a worn spot.

Does anybody know if you can replace a metal fan for a plastic fan on Royal vacuums? For example, model 606? Thanks.
