    Help needed: Dyson DC22

The UK DC22 doesnt have a digital motor, we get a YDK brushed motor, same one in a dc25 upright!

    Numatic Henry HVR200A

You want both white motor cables to one side of the main on off switch, then the blue and brown wires from the cord unit to the other side. You may have to have henry apart to the motor to check which cables are which then either strip out the pcb and wires, leave the switch in to stop stuff...

    Help needed: Dyson DC22

The caps do lever off, but make one hell of a noise doing so! I stripped one down a while ago, link below. Got one now thats missing all its tools, but was free. That's been refurbished too but just sat under the bed! http://manchestervacs.co.uk/DysonForum/index.php?topic=1624.0

    An interesting find today

Nice find! Their getting rare to be boxed over here, let alone over there! The power head is crap, dont get your hopes up there! Looks very clean though. Our serial numbers were different to yours though I refurbed one a few weeks back if it helps. If its got a supressor fitted, their...

1997 Hoover PurePower U3142 Help Needed!

Ah, you put the white clips into the chassis by their pegs, then (tricky this bit) bend the white rings out, slot the back of the machine into them and push both rings onto the round locating bits in the main body and down into the chassis.

1997 Hoover PurePower U3142 Help Needed!

Its not a bad job tbh. I need to do the same with my vortex as the chassis broke again. Its probably very similar to my vortex, thread linked incase it helps! Ive got a chassis from a dust managerless cyclone to go on it, only difference that i can see is that its black not blue.

basic resto/parts question on Hoover Senior?

I always pick up packs of genuine belts for anything I own from ebay if I happen upon them at a cheap price. Got a genuine pack of bags for my Sensotronic from the car boot the other weekend for £2, handy as I didnt have any, and the bag inside is manky. I did ask if they had any other bits...

Info on the TPJ U1100 please!

The first turbopower junior werent they? Mine had a slightly cracked trunnion (still does but its heavily reinforced internally now). Dont see many about, most ive seen for sale is this year I think. They do come up nicely though...

    Dyson dc25 blueprint

Very nice. They are rare over here, let alone over there! Youll find the old brushroll motor packed with fluff, and possibly the ends of the brushroll damaged. Id be surprised if your new head isnt clogged up if its second hand either. I did a how to on one if it helps...

basic resto/parts question on Hoover Senior?

I try to only use Genuine Hoover belts, but am running low now, down to the last few packs of unopened belts for various machines that I want to keep in the packet. I know Quatex had a bad batch of belts a few years ago. I ordered a few, and 4 out of the 10 sets snapped fairly quickly...

    Duct tape on vacuums

If it shouldnt move but is meant to - wd40. If it moves and it shouldnt - duct tape... Im always weary of duct tape on vacs. If i want it i beat the price down, one never knows what its hiding...

1getting uk vacuums to the usa is it possible

I second the manchester vacs recommendation. Mainly because the cost is the easy part. You then need to package it up properly to ensure its not broken, and that means bespoke packaging. Plus a bulk shipping account, and experience of shipping abroad, which mvacs has in spades! Good...

Dyson DC07 HEPA pick up test

Very nice! It will pick up better than a 24 as a 24 only has a 650w motor, and there's not much weight over the front end so the brush roll cant dig as deep. I'd wash the filter more regularly than every 3 years though...

    Ibaisiac's Greatest Hits

The talking sensotronic is my favourite! Closely followed by the 3 part epic Aquamaster. I'd have found it hard to break it's virginity but you did it well! Is it sad to say I wait until swmbo and Eva are in bed, fire up the chrome cast and queue a few of your views up every now and again?
